Janusz Korczak was born on July 22, 1878. He was an educator, a author, and was know as “Pan Doktor,” because he was a pedagogue, which is the practice and theory of teaching. He also was the director of an orphanage in Warsaw, Poland. He died August 7, 1942, in Treblinka.
