Four days later, Bryant's husband Roy and his half-brother J.W. Milam kidnapped Till, beat him and shot him in the head.

In the novel, Guitar’s involvement with the Seven Days is foreshadowed during his heated participation in the discussions about racism at Tommy’s Barbershop which connects to my argument because the seven days was created because of the racism.

Throughout the first few chapters, we have seen Milkman’s struggle with his own name and his curiosity surrounding his background. He wrestles with the expectations of the black community and with the emptiness that haunts his interior self. Solomon was given another identity that he was forced to go by even though he had papers proving him a free man. For him being a black men in general, they considered him as some type of runaway slave from georgia. This connects to my argument because it shows how people cannot be free if they are being enslaved by their racial identity.

In the novel, Guitar can't get the horrific incident out of his mind so it causes him to want to get revenge because he is in the Seven days society.
