Grammar is one of the few things in the english language that you will find yourself criticized quite often especially on the internet, even in real life you will find yourself teased by people that just enjoy teasing you for your mistakes.

I've improved myself mostly by reading random horror stories on the internet and reading books in the library no matter the genre although I prefer shorter, more compact books and the topic of the book to be something related to comedy or something melodramatic. With reading I've been able to significantly improve myself in not only grammatically but my english is better in pretty much in all aspect.

Last but not least, I think people should try to find what works for them rather just following what works for others. For me,the most important thing is that you enjoy what you are doing in the process of learning because just forcing yourself doing something you don't enjoy is just torturous and definitely not something I would recommend to anyone else.

English have always been my favorite subject in school. Even so, learning and polishing my skills in English, especially in grammar, was never an easy task. However, that should never stop me or anyone in general, from putting their best effort in improving their grammar skills.

Personally, I have spent an extensive period of time in improving my grammar. Throughout the time, I have made it a habit to read at every chances, taking notes of new sentence structures that I discovered along the way. This, fortunately, have contributed in the rapid improvement of my grammar, as I have managed to learn new types of sentences and applied them in my essays.

All in all, improving our skills in English, particularly in the grammar field, may take a lot of time and hard work, but eventually, great effort comes with great results.

In my opinion, there are plenty of ways to improve ones grammar but very few are effective in order to strengthen ones grammar. One of it being, the old but gold way that is reading. Some might find it difficult as it can be quite boring at times but surely, some will find it rather enjoyable but it is definitely tested and proven that reading sure is effective to strengthen ones grammar. For me personally, I would choose to watch videos on the internet or TV shows because I prefer to learn something visually and later on, listen properly and follow the way they talk and transmit the data into my brain and use it whilst I’m either conversing or writing and for me, like killing two birds with one stone, it will also help us to reduce stress which is always a plus in everybody’s life.

I speak decent English, but to be frank, I have made lots of grammar mistakes when conversing with others in the past. I regretted for being so naive by listening to my peers' suggestions of reading abundance of old school grammar books; which were thicker than an encyclopedia and some I could recalled have yellowed pages and were moth eaten, as they were utterly useless! I was quite offended by the 'discrimination' and I was obviously not one of the creme de la creme in Language classes, but I could not be bothered by it. I have had enough of crying over spilled milk!

My grammar has improved drastically after I sought guidance from an English native lecturer from a global online classroom. She taught me about English grammar and mastering the language skills with an entirely different approach, as in the way that all of her lessons will etched in your mind permanently and replays them automatically, just like those catchy lyrics from my favourite songs. I felt like I was over the moon when people started to compliment my fluency in the language.I have never been so articulate and confident in speaking English, as I was often cautious and doubted the use of proper grammar in constructing sentences.

In my opinion, English is such a beautiful yet sophisticated language in its own form. I remembered my language teacher once told me that to be able to have a strong grasp in the language, you ought to fall in love with it first. Any languages, whether it be English, Malay or Chinese, you should not learn it by force but learn it with passion instead. In a nutshell, I am ever so grateful of all teachers who have put their full efforts in teaching me English. Because of them, I can now finally discover my potential and confidence in speaking the language fluently, but it does not end there for I am still venturing out into the little paths and obstacles of the English language field.

They say that grammar mistakes is normal but sooner or later it will be a serious problem in the future. So, in order to overcome this problem, I really love to watch videos on the internet and learn from the videos that I watched. After watching it, I will try to use the new words that I received from the video. In other way, I will also try to read some novels, newspapers and other reading materials. This is not easy for me because I don't really enjoy reading but in the end I have to do it to strengthen my grammar skills. Besides that, I always watch english movies without subtitles. While relaxing I can learn some grammarskills. In this way, I can improve my grammar to be better.

I read novels in order to strengthen my English grammar. Actually I didn't enjoying reading novels back in primary school . I only read novels once in a blue moon but then one day I stared reading frequently and somehow I started enjoying it. I started to do so at the age of 13 and I believe that I have improved a lot since then . Reading novels has always been my hobby ever since and it has definitely brought a lot of changes in my English language . Somehow day by day I feel more confident when I speak in English to others. I personally believe that reading is the best way to improve your grammar because I know it definitely works . For example if reading novels doesn't work for you can always read other things because I do know some people are very impatient and will read the ending straight away so you can always read the news paper as its shorter compared to novels . Read as much as possible and eventually you will find yourself improving. As the saying goes practice makes perfect. So please read as much as possible !

It took me years to strengthen my grammar, but the thing that I did to actually improve my weakness is to post some random English status daily on twitter. Reason why is because, no one cares when you’re active in twitter. People will just scroll down their newsfeed and ignore all the useless tweets. I did that for years, and I’m still doing it now. Second, you need a native English speaker as your friend. Now this is the fun part, I have a lot of international friends and they taught me a lot in terms of improving my grammar. Sometimes in life, we need to explore the roundabout ways of life and making new friends might just be that one thing that you must do. Third, you need to try and use English as a medium in your daily conversations. Now I know that this is the hard part, because people will start to side eyes you and judge you completely. But then again, you’re gaining something unlike those people. My advice, just ignore them and believe in you. Last but not least, accept your mistakes. People who accept their mistakes actually learned from it. Mistakes are meant to be made because it’s a step forward towards perfection.

To be blunt, I had special attention regarding English.I am very thankful to my parents because they realised that English is an important part of my life.I started from a early stage which is at the age of seven years old. As a seven-year-old boy, I was the most passive among my siblings and that got my parents' attention.
Without hesitation, they sent me to a home tuition which was the home of an experienced teacher who had been teaching for countless years.

It was always a heart-racing moment, so as any boy would do was to sit quietly and do what was told. The first lesson was spelling and vocabulary lessons which i had to repeat every day untill I could use it without hesitation because it takes countless amounts of practice to master it.Thankfully, my teacher had no problem teaching me due to her decades of teaching experience. From there, she taught me the fundamentals of English grammar untill essay construction.

The best way to learn and master grammar is through hardwork and practice. "Mummy"

These are the words she said to me every time she saw me crying. She didn't lose hope on me, instead she gave me new hope and kept on rooting for me.What she told me was true, very true. I attended her class for three consecutive years and by then I had fallen in love with the subject itself regardless of who was teaching me or how it was taught.

I also learn grammar use in sentences through playing games, watching movies and reading books at a young age.Playing games is a platform that can be used to improve gained skills and try communicating with others for across the globe.Young gamers are often streotyped as a distruption to their habits and a waste of time. While movies are also stereotyped as the same as gaming, but it actually helps a student passively recognising words in dialogues without refering to the subtitles provided in movies.

A friend once told me that to be good at something, learn and then teach to others. It is one of the effective ways of learning and now, I love helping people in English especially my friends

These are some of the ways to strengthen and improve English to a new height.I will keep updating untill tomorrow.Have fun reading.Thank you.

In my opinion, there are many ways to strengthen our English grammar. However, we all have our own ways to tackle the problem. People said nothing comes easy without any efforts. Some might do it for the sake of their grades or for effective communication in their workplace but we should take a step back and ask ourselves why is it important to strengthen our English grammar? As we all know, English has been used as an international language that connects people from all walks of life. It does not matter what your skin colour is or where you come from, you can freely communicate in English. To be truly honest, I was not very good at English at first and I was told by my teacher that my grammar skills are not that good. It did not stop me from learning yet it ignited something within me to push myself even further to strengthen my grammar. One of my ways to strengthen my English grammar all this while is to read, read and read books. I am a big fan of books myself. By reading, it helps me to enhance my grammar skills. I am also a sucker for new, fancy and sophisticated words. Whenever I found some, I will jot it down in my notebook. I will look through it at least once a day thus making it easier for me to memorize the words. Besides that, I love looking up words in the dictionary to find their exact meanings because while we are busy looking up the meaning of the word, we get to learn new words that can be used in our writing. This will make our writing a breeze. Last but not least, my friends play a vital role in my journey to strengthen my English grammar. They are always there to help me whenever I have problems with my writings and grammar as I can easily get confused. They would be glad to teach me from scratch. I am so blessed to have such good friends.

Reading novels and articles is one way of strengthening our english grammar in my viewpoint. This is because reading novels not only broadens our vocabulary but at the same time allow us to get the correct spelling of certain new words we are unsure and you can always read a book ore than once just to correct a particular word as the saying goes 'A book is a gift you can open again and again'.Reading novels has been my hobby since I stepped into higher secondary school and since then my grammar has improved to a better level. Not stopping there, another way I practice to improve my grammar is by watching television program and googling up new and bombastic words for a better understanding of that word which allows me to improve my grammar as well. They are various other ways to strengthen and improve our grammar and this are just a few tips to get a better hold of our grammar.Like quoted by Paul Walker everyone has an opinion and everyone has a way on strengthening their grammar.Let's Keep Reading And Fortify Our Grammar!

There are actually hundreds and thousands of ways to strengthen one's English grammar. However, since one man's meat is another man's poison, I think it is crystal clear that everyone uses different and unique methods to improve one's English grammar.
As for me, I listen to English songs and search for the lyrics. A song is a musical composition with lyrics for voice or voices and it is performed by singing. Basically, the lyricist will put a great deal of effort into writing the lyrics of a song in order to avoid critics from all over the world from condemning the newly released song over silly grammatical errors. So, I believe it is safe to say that most songs are written in a way that it is grammatically correct. Besides, it is a fun way to make full use of one's leisure time and of course, it is an undeniably marvellous way to seek refuge from the hustle and bustle of one's hectic life. Hence, by listening to English songs I am able to remember and use correct English grammar.
There is an old lore that rings true until today: "Books and friends should be few but good.'' Personally, I am very picky when it comes to books. To me, every book conceals a silent yet vivid world. Frankly, I really salute authors for being so imaginative and smart enough to weave the plot of a story in such a way that it captivates the reader's heart, not to mention their efficacy in producing flawless sentences. Well, I do read other reading materials such as magazines and newspapers. The articles in Reader's Digest and The Star are worth reading in order to strengthen one's grammar as they are normally free of grammar mistakes. No doubt that reading is one of the most mediocre ways to encourage improvements in one's grammar but it is also one of the most effective ways to fortify one's English grammar. I strongly believe that seeing is believing. So, in this case, by seeing English grammar being implied precisely in books or articles, I will have a better grasp of it.
Lastly, I always try my level best to converse and write in correct sentences. I am glad to say that my family members talk to each other in English instead of our mother tongue most of the time. From my own experience in my secondary school, I noticed that many of my classmates were just too stubborn to talk in English as if they had gold nuggets in their mouths. The only time they spoke in this language was when they were asked by the English teacher to read an excerpt and even then they were like speaking so softly that the only one who could hear them is themselves. At the end of the day they will be either scowling at their English examination papers or speaking in broken Manglish. So the moral of the story is don't be too lazy to communicate in English in the correct way. Like what my English teacher always says, "Don't eat the 's' in plural nouns and plural verbs ! '' Always be ready to accept one's grammar mistakes which are pointed out by others and of course, try as fast as possible to avoid making the same mistake. Slowly but surely, one will find one's English grammar improving from one level to the next in no time. Trust me because I did.
In a nutshell, to master the study of English grammar, one has to be persistent and patient because even Rome was not built in a day. Bear in mind that there is no such thing as a free lunch. If you want to tread on the path of success, you will have to plan your work and work your plan because actions speak louder than words.

What is English? English is basically a universal language used for communication , entertainment and countless other usages. Everyone uses it everyday and everywhere. It is widely known as a global language having it being essential to have in your daily life. Since learning English is compulsory, almost everyone can speak the language nowadays. But knowing the language and being good at it is two different thing. Thus, it is paramount to know how to improve one self into becoming more proficient in English, especially in grammar.

Allow me to speak through my experience in learning the language. I first began learning through sheer inconvenience. I was living abroad, United States of America to be exact, and I barely know the language. I was an outcast, thus I had to find a way to fit in. So I started learning everything I could about the English language so that I can at least communicate with my fellow classmate. Here's the thing, I needed a teacher. Learning it alone can be done, but you're bound to make grammatical errors. A teacher plays the most important role in improving your language. Whether it be a school teacher, a university teacher, a friend or even your parents. Having someone there helping you, fixing your grammatical errors and constructing a sentence for you will give you the jump start that you need towards becoming more proficient.

Secondly, reading. I can't emphasize it enough how important reading is. The technological development of the world have made us lazy. The common mindset is, why would they spend their time reading a 500 page book, when they could have just watched the movie version or read the synopsis. A wall of text is usually frowned upon whether it be on the internet or in real life. People fail to realize that through reading you can truly understand the content that is trying to be conveyed. It also helps the fact that the authors are all master of the language thereby it helps us understand and improve our grammar through either mimicry or recollecting the information.

Other than that, communicating can also help refine your grammar. Since English is universally used all around the world, you can safely assume that you'd be using it to talk with people. A healthy conversation with two relatively well English speaker can help you improve you grammar more than you think. Through listening and processing, two actions that happen at the same time in a conversation, will naturally help you find mistakes. By spotting the mistake you will automatically try and correct it whether it be spontaneous or later on. This is really helpful since it happens without you even noticing and slowly you'll realize that your stuttering have decreased and your language is more competent.

To be honest, English was always something I loved. I admired people who spoke the language with me and I blessed the people who tried. Having such a huge passion towards it really helps me from having any sort of struggle in learning the language. As a result, the absolute best way in improving yourself, whether it be grammar, speaking, reading or writing, is to have passion. You can read, study and communicate all you want, but in the end , all those efforts are only complimented when you love doing it.

I can still remember how bad I was in English. I did not bother about correcting my grammar as I was not interested in this subject. However, my perception on this language changed when I entered Form 3 where I meet this one unforgettable English teacher. She told me that English is so important in the world we are living today and I can master it if I make effort.

I started to take serious notes when she teaches us Grammar. I was not that type of kid who would jot down notes but I did it in her class. I focused on what she said, ask questions on things I did not understand without being shy. That way, I can clear any doubt I have about grammar and about English, overall.

I also have to admit that reading a lot of English books did help me in improving my grammar. When I read, I tend to remember how sentences are formed. As we all know, grammar in books are reviewed before being published and the correct usage of grammar is used in it. The more I read, the more I expos myself to the correct usage. I saw, learnt, and eventually understand the correct usage.

Once I have the basics, I trained my ears to tune into recognizing correct grammar usage so that the poor uses of grammar appear to sound more obvious. I often myself taking notes in my mind about the mistake and correct it.

It was not easy for me to speak and write with correct usage of grammar. However, it gets better with effort. If you are already good at it, you will always have to find a way to strengthen it for education does not stop until the day you die.

I knew nothing of English. As my stepping rock, grammar became my focus. So I started to pay more attention towards grammars in the games that I play. Even if I miss that certain grammar in that certain part of the game,I would go as far as replaying the whole game just to see it again.

Well oh well, how did it worked on me? I pay attention on where did that certain word was used and what was it used for. Threat? Sweet words to tackle a lady's heart? Or simply a cliche line on how the villain explains his/her plan to dominate the world. Some may see as an ineffective way to fully understand that word or line but to me,it did. Now I know where to use it and how to properly express a character in my stories' emotions or feelings using those words or lines.

One problem though,I cannot explain why exactly does that particular word or line is there or was formed like that. I would simply answer, "I don't know, I just felt it suited there." How do I cover up that flaw? Well, that's where classes came in. In the classes that I attend, I would try to remember every inch of the detail about grammar and sometimes I write it down on my trusty note. Thank God now I can explain to my friends why is that word placed there and why is my sentence is a tad bit different then their's. I'm 110% sure that this is my way of strengthening my grammar and it will continue to be until however long it will take.

Grammar is the most fundamental thing when it comes to learning English. No one’s born speaking perfect English straight out of the womb. It’s a process of learning. The more you expose yourself, the more you’ll know about the language. It’s more of a win-win situation. The more you give, the more you get in return. It’s as simple as that. There are so many ways to improve your grammar and if I were to list down every single one of them, I’ll be going to class with bags under my eyes because there’s a lot.

One very simple way to improve your grammar is to find and surround yourself with English speakers. This way you will be speaking English all the time. You’ll learn different things and they can help you correct your mistakes. That was what I did. Listen to what they have to say and try improving. Don’t be shy. Even the best started from the bottom

Listen to English songs. This is by far the easiest way for one to improve. Listen and figure out the structure of the song and you’ll get the gist of it. It will somewhat help your grammar because you’ll memorize the song and it would be easier to get why people use different words, when and how to use it correctly.

Persistence is the key. Since it’s a very intricate language, you’ll attain new knowledge everyday so you can’t simply quit right away. Read a lot of books or articles. I started reading since I was small and I like to stick a small sticky note if there’s any interesting quotes from books. A friend of mine said that you should not jot down every single word that you don’t understand right away. If you do so you won’t understand the story. Read and find the meaning of the word later.

We live in a world where English is a worldwide language and by learning the roots of this language it would help as a pedestal in order for you to excel. Speak and make mistakes because that way you’ll grow. Don’t worry about the grammatical errors. At least that’s what I did. I swore by these ways which is the reason why I am able to speak decently

Though, from my point of view, many ways and procedures can be done to strengthen my English grammar skills. As for me, I have a passion in reading and writing. I use all sorts of media to read during my leisure time such as using an online reading portal which is wattpad, by reading newspapers, magazines, novels and even accessing the social media. As I read, I start developing my interest in writing. From there, I improve my grammar skills by referring to the thesaurus or dictionary. I also used an online grammar-checking portal or refer to previous English teacher. In a nutshell, gadgets and books are the mediums that I use to strengthen my English Grammar skills.

Of course, I did not just been able to understand and speak it since I was born, but it started when I was still little so I somehow just got used to the structure of the language.

Be that as it may, I still actually made mistakes in grammar since English is not my native language. As for me, sitting in the classroom and studying tricky grammar doesn't work.

First of all, I love watching movies and cartoons. This hobby of mine contributes a lot in improving and strengthening my grammar. If it is too hard for me to understand what they are speaking in the movie, all I do is turn on the English subtitle.

The second opinion of mine is, reading all sorts of books, magazines and newspapers. Reading does not only strengthen someone's grammar but it also helps in improving a person's vocabulary. Reading is fun and you can improve your grammar in a short period of time.

Lastly, I write stories. Since I was a young girl, I love writing stories and poems. I will always go through dictionary or any realatable English books to find the suitable word, correct grammar and interesting phrases. This eventually helped me in strengthening my grammar.

In conclusion, to strengthen your grammar is not a tough work. Do your favourite activities but include English in it. I hope that my essay is beneficial for anyone who reads this.

The task given by Miss Amreet takes me back to when I was in primary school, or to be specific when I was twelve years old that I really loved English so much. That was when I started to find myself some ways to strengthen my English grammar in order to master the English language. Here, I will include some of the ways that I had tried to improve my English grammar every day. I hope you will find them beneficial.

My kick-start to advancing in English grammar is by doing the things I love, that is basically related to English grammar and the language. I remember when I was in primary school, I listened a lot to Simple Plan. ‘Perfect’ and ‘I’m Just a Kid’ were the earliest songs I listened to, which I remember looking up for their lyrics on Google and YouTube to sing along when I was eleven years old. That was how I started to be a huge music fan and improve my grammar in a very little progress, but I believed that small effort could make a big difference if I was persistent. Until now, I still go on YouTube for lyric videos to sing along, besides strengthening my English grammar in a really enjoyable way.

Besides, I really love watching YouTube videos. What kind of videos that I like to search on YouTube? You name it – Gaming channels, tutorials, DIYs, music and so much more. Gaming channel, for instance, is really fun to watch and also helping me with my English grammar. I just love listening to how native speakers talk when they play games and it will subconsciously make me try speaking in English as well. As I try speaking in English, I will also try to strengthen my grammar as it is the essential part in English.

High school was the place that I fell in love completely with English language. I would say it was because of the teachers. They were all very fun and helpful. Back in my SPM days, Mr Mustamir who was my English teacher when I was in Form Five, always encouraged us students to keep writing and submit to him for proofreading. Happened to be that I really love writing stories, so I would submit to him an essay or two every week. I improved every day through his guide and managed to score an A for my English in SPM.

My advice is, do not be afraid and embarrassed to learn. I will usually ask my teachers and friends when I have confusion in English grammar. They are normally very helpful if you show them your enthusiasm to learn and you will improve every day.

"Surround yourself with people who are smarter than you and don't be afraid to be the dumbest one in the room because that gives you the most potential to learn."
- Mark E. Fischbach a.k.a Markiplier

Last but not least is to practice a lot, because to be frank, that was the only way everyone has agreed to strengthen English grammar. I would answer quizzes and tests on the Internet because it was so entertaining yet very useful to improve my English grammar, for example grammargamble.com and freerice.com.

That is all on how to strengthen English grammar, according to me.

This task made me thought a lot of how on earth I had strengthen my English grammar all this time! But came to think of it, there were a lot of ways I had improve or should I say strengthen my English grammar.
First and foremost, this was the most obvious and realistic answer which one of the way, I attended English lessons formally in school and some tuition centres in my state. In school, there was an English subject which was a must learn subject for every students in Malaysia since our country declared that Malaysian citizens needed to master Bilingual languages some time ago. Next, for the tuition centres that I attended, my mother was eager to send me there then I just need to follow her order since I was not capable to argue with her as she is a 'MOTHER'. I guess anyone knows what I mean here.
From these lessons and classes that I attended, teachers taught me about English and of course its grammar from the basic to the complex one. From here I could understand and get the knowledge of using the right grammar in English language although, I get confused for some of the rules of English Grammar. Now I was hoping I can recall and polish what I had learned before in the education centres in this BIL1033 course that I take.
The other way I had strengthen my English grammar was through reading any kinds of reading materials. In reading, it was like killing two birds with one stone because not just we absorb the knowledge from the reading material but we also get to know and adapt the right using of grammar. It is clearly reading help us especially students in many ways.
Lastly, I had strengthen my English grammar through watching English movies,short-films,drama and more in a video medium. Watching these video mediums actually helped me alert of conversing in a right using of English grammar and also absorbed the diverse English accents. It also help me to recall the mistakes I had done during conversing in English. But all in all, I loved learning languages especially English which was used worldwide and I attended all the lessons as I sincerely wanted to learn.

During my school time, I adore my English teachers because they have great passion to teach me grammar.I used to ask my English teachers how to improve my grammar so that I can speak English fluently with no grammatical errors. Besides, I also watch English movies and sorted out the parts of speech and grammar to help me to improve my grammar. Not only that, I also listen to music and I will try searching for the lyrics to understand the grammar in every song. My schoolmates also used to play games with me. We played word puzzle and grammar casino which is a game that will give you points if you get the grammar right. It was a game created by my English teachers to encourage our students to be involved in English language. To improve my grammar, reading English newspapers for example New Strait Times, The Star helps me to discover new grammar rule. I also try making news report to expose myself to many grammar errors so that I can learn by mistakes and errors that I have made

People had always asked me on how I learn and improved my English, and the answer I gave them is always the same. It is a little bit funny and weird though how I learn and improve them. I had my first early educations about English through cartoons like Pokemon, Teletubbies, Digimon and Tom and Jerry. Every day I always watch an episode per day but no subtitles were included (this was due to the fact I did not know how to put the subtitles on when I was little). By hearing only the voices of the cartoons I soon learn how to speak them in order and know how to use simple grammar. For me this is the best way I improve and strengthen my grammar and vocabulary because up until now I still use them (and yes I still watch cartoons but not the kid’s one but the animated cartoons from Japan called “Anime”)

Other than that, songs also helped me improve my grammar and pronunciation but the songs I listen are not the pop songs we have nowadays, I suggest oldies song because oldies are always the goodies and plus the oldies song like in the 90’s or 60’s have a good English grammar and they use formal English and no slangs is in them. By slangs I mean the word “ gonna ”, “ wanna ”, “ trippin’ ” . Moreover, learning with songs can help you learn English grammar quicker because it is catchy and it is fun to explore the meaning of the lyrics thus not only you can strengthen your grammar but it can also help you in your writing (depends on the song that you have listen).

Last but not least, how I strengthen my grammar is of course through reading. Reading is very important because through reading we gain more knowledge especially in our English grammar. Books, yes one of the medium that is very useful to help us strengthens our grammar, but once in a while try reading an English dictionary because the dictionary does not just act as a translator for the words we do not understand but it also shows how we used the word correctly by giving examples. For those gamer who loves to play Dota, God of War, Heroes Might and Magic and so on, try to put a dictionary, a pen and a paper by your sides because this games requires you to read instruction and sometimes it will show a high standard English word and when it does write it down on a piece of paper and try to find the meaning then create a simple sentence using it.

Wrapping it all up, there are still lots of other ways we can improve our grammar but for me I use the ones I just stated because it works well on me. As long as you are overzealous in learning English nothing can go wrong and be dauntless in speaking because there is no good if you just learn it but not use it plus people can always help you correct them if there is a mistake.

Grammar is the systematic study and description of a language, more specifically in the English language. Grammar is also known as the 'rules of language' when speaking in English. Other than that, grammar helps people to improve their English especially in the reading and writing section, which in my case, grammar is a useful help to me in the writing section. As i grow up, i was raised in an English speaking crowd and from there i was influenced positively from that little crowd. Blending myself in that crowd affects me in the best way possible because they are one of the reasons why i pursue in English Diploma. Besides that, my love for English is indescribable and is also why i am here right now.

However, in my opinion, there are so many ways to improve and strengthen my grammar and as for me, reading articles, newspapers, magazines and novels really helped me improve my grammar and by reading, i would learn many other words i did not know even exist. This caused me to grow curious and made my level of curiosity go up high and it makes me want to learn what are the meanings of said words. I would usually prefer reading and using online reading websites because it is easier and way more helpful. For example, wattpad is one of the reading platforms i use in order to learn bigger words and improve my grammar skills.

Besides reading, watching English television series or movies also helped me improve my grammar because by watching movies and television series, i can learn the proper way to use grammar in sentences when writing an essay or even when speaking in general. Listening to the characters in the movies and television series speak too helps me improve my pronunciations and correct my grammatical errors.

Social medias too helped me a lot in improving my grammar skills. Being born in the 21st century and in the 90's has its perks and one of them are the existence of gadgets with fast internet. With this, i personally find this platform useful as it is one of my main resources for basically everything i need to know. Social medias really helped me in my grammar as i usually come across so many articles and news on the internet regarding the world news, political issues and etc. By reading all kinds of information on said articles and news, it increases my knowledge on the usage of grammar as it is perfectly arranged and formed in correct sentences.

Speaking in English with friends also helps me improve my grammar because by speaking with them, i can learn more on how to use my grammar in the correct way especially when talking to someone or when writing an essay.

So to conclude this, there are many other different ways to improve and strengthen ones English grammar but as of for me, those are what i would do to improve my English grammar.

Grammar learning is one of the best things I enjoy in life. I always enjoy learning it because my teachers have great passion for the students to be involved in grammar. One way for me to improve my grammar is watching movies. I enjoy learning grammar through English movies and late 1970's televison show,Mind Your Language. In the show, there are foreigners who are not the native speakers of English. They make grammar mistakes, wrong pronounciation and they also make jokes to entertain us. I enjoy learning grammar through the television show. It makes me laugh but in the same time I learn something. Besides, I love to listen to music. Through the lyrics, I can learn many parts of speech and understand more about the use of a grammar rule. During my school time, my teacher created a game with the name grammar casino. It is a game that will give you points if you get the grammar correctly. It encourages the students to play and enjoy the class and also learning something in a different way. Other than that, I also learn grammar through newspaper reading. New strait times and the Star help me to improve my grammar because they use the correct grammar for their news report. Then I try to make a news report to challenge myself to write a good news report without any grammatical errors. It also gives me self confidence to write my own opinion using the correct grammar.

I first learned English back when I was in kindergarten in 2002. I was five years-old at that time. I was very active in class, putting my hands up even when the teacher has not finished her sentence, and I was overall a very good kid.
Mrs Anita, who is my English teacher at the time, started to teach us the eight parts of speeches starting with nouns. She would show us flash cards and she will tell us the name of the creature in English and we would draw and colour the animal that she shows us in the flash cards in a piece of paper. It was so much fun! That’s when I started to fall in love with English.
Falling in love with English kick started my passion in reading books and newspapers in English. I noticed that my grammar is improving and I am more confident now that I can speak English well than my friends. English homework is easy now that I understand it more. I bought English exercise books, I joined the English Club in school and I met my teachers a lot to let them check my work before turning it in. I get all the praises and I love it.
In a nutshell, I believe that effort will never betray you. I speak in English with my friends and families. I am being active in class, showing confidence, completed my assignment and build a close relationship with my peers and teachers. At the end of the day, my grammar and my English skills in general developed. Now, I’m pursuing my studies in Diploma in English at UPSI.

Grammar is one of the important things in English writing because good grammar in writings really make a difference and it will make the writing flawless and amazing. There are so many ways you can improve your English grammar and it is quite easy to achieve. For me achieving my English grammar comes from my daily activities such as reading, watching movies that provide subtitles, social medias and even talking English with other people.

Reading is one of my favourite hobbies, so it is quite frankly that i would improve my grammar by reading because books are very detailed in their writing, grammar, and spellings. It is where I improve not only my reading skills but my grammar as well and it takes no effort at all but only interest. Books usually have book reviews and it is where people critique, it is helpful to know if the book has some mistakes or not. People always say it's hard to achieve something but if you have a passion it will help you tremendously.

Another way I use to strengthen my grammar is by watching TV shows, cartoons or movies. Some of them provide subtitles and it really helps me not only know what they are saying but also know what kind of words and grammar that they use. It is very entertaining while being helpful. Cartoons were really entertaining back in my childhood, whilst it was fun watching them it also helped my grammar little by little to a point that I recognize grammar very well. Also, social media is a base for your grammar skills because many people use them for captions on Instagram,Twitter, Facebook and so much more and from there you can see whether they are using the correct grammar or not.

Lastly talking to my fellow family members or friends in English really helped my speaking and grammar skills while talking with them. It really helped me because I know what I'm saying and also I know what I'm saying is correct. The other person who I'm talking to sometimes corrected my grammatical errors which I don't mind because I know I can improve my speaking skills and learn something by my mistakes. It is really important for you to know your grammar because it can help you in so many ways right now and also the future cause work hard now and feel easy later.

Being a girl who likes to play outside, it was quite hard at first but in the end, I enjoyed the silence in reading. Sometimes I read the same book over and over again because without my knowing, it actually strengthen my grammar even the tiniest bit. Sooner or later, reading is one of my bridges to learn and strengthen my grammar.

Back in my primary school, English was never my first language. Not one of my friends speak in English. It all changed when I was in Standard 6, a new girl from Liverpool registered in our school. Born and raised in England, she can’t speak not even a little bit of Bahasa Melayu. So most of the students doesn’t know how to interact with her until I tried first. With very little English in me, my friends asked me to be their translator to get to know her better. She never made fun of my grammatical mistakes but instead she corrected them. My English got better because I have no choice but to speak in English with her. There, i realized the importance of other languages with correct grammar, of course.

My former English teacher, Pn. Zarina, helped me a lot in learning. Besides teaching English, she taught us how to be confident in speaking, how making a mistake is better than not trying at all. Even though I don’t speak decent English, but she always encouraged me to try even with grammatical errors. She made English classes so fun to go to. She always put cute stickers on every English exercises we did as she said its her way of showing appreciation towards our efforts.

Still learning and improving in English, I think the best teacher of all is learning from our own mistakes.

Grammar is one of the basic knowledge that everyone should know before they can strive to understand the English language. Failure of understanding grammar of the English language results in poor comprehension of the language itself.

Being a Malaysian, English was never my first language. No one in my primary school speaks English. But ever since I was young, I liked watching cartoons on Cartoon Network and I was fascinated by the language that they speak. What I didn't realised at the time was how watching those cartoons actually improved my grammar and vocabulary bit by bit. In no time, I began to understand more and more of English and learning the language became an obsession for me.

When I was in Year 5, I listened to a lot of English songs that was popular at the time. However, because I wasn't very fluent with English at the time, I could not convey the meaning of those songs nor can I understand the words. But I never gave up and instead listened to more English songs and try to understand the meanings behind each songs. By doing this, my knowledge of English grew and English became one of my favourite language.

Even though I watched a lot of cartoons and listened to English songs, when it comes to speaking in English, I wasn't fluent enough and made a lot grammatical errors. Still, I try to improve myself everyday in the hopes that my English will be better. At the end of Year 6, a golden opportunity came to me. My mother decided to further her studies in Australia for three years and took my two siblings and I with her. I was excited but also scared thinking about living overseas. When I started high school in Australia, I was shy and didn't talk to anyone because I felt that my English was inferior compared to them who were native speakers of English. Even so, I steeled myself and try to talk to them. I wasn't a great a speaker at first but my friends constantly corrected me and encouraged me to talk more. Before I realised it, I was communicating with them. I left Australia at the end 2013 and living there was an experience that I could never forget.

In conclusion, grammar can be improved by simply doing the things that you are already doing such as listening to songs and watching cartoons or TV shows. Also, don't be afraid to communicate in English with your friends even if you make mistakes. Learn from those mistakes so that you can better yourself.

It was hard to ignore their harsh judging eyes at first, but eventually, I’ve learned how to block them out completely. i would also consult my English teacher on my speaking skills during breaks at school as she would frequently corrects my grammar and pronunciation.Talking in English really helped me to patch up my grammar skills because i learn as i speak.

My other method to establish my grammar is through reading English articles. Books are great mediums for you to improve your language as they are written by experienced authors and have been edited by proof readers. Thus, the sentence structures and spellings are guaranteed to be correct. But I was actually proud of myself cause eventhough I can't speak in Tamil
but at least I understand Tamil, and also I can speak in Chinese. But as for my English, the only time that I converse in English is only at home. But apart from that I had always came across people that would ask me how do I speak in English without stammering, and my answer would always be the same that is I was confident. I truely believe that confidence helped me in coming out from my shell.
One of my way to strengthen my English grammar was to read books. At first, it would be quite tough as I sort of permanently using my mother tongue language with surroundings such as family and friends. Rasionally, things we love to do would be the best struggle that we will put for. Every language has its own guidelines and I also heard of languages are living things that constantly changes. Fortunately, grammar is not so much about rules to be followed. My former teacher once said, "do not get too stress out and hung up on having perfect flawless grammar, but dont ever think it does not matter either. Be moderate."

In my opinion, there are several ways that i have been used intelligently to strengthen my grammar for all this while. I am a book person but it does not mean that i rather read for all day long. Habit of reading would be even entertaining by not only using newspapers, magazines and books as we can search and surf for essay sample on the internet. Everything is just in our fingertips nowadays.

Frankly, revealing myself do not get too shocked that I am one of a girl gamer. At one point, we can gain tons of knowledge and having fun at the very moment.

On the contrary, getting a tutor would be the best way to improve my english grammar. During school days, I easily closed and get attached with all of my English teachers. They are all my long lasting role model. I would never be bored attending English class as everything is just great and beautiful to keep learning on.

Having myself as an active talker, I tend to improve my soft skills of communication and confidence.

' English '. When I was a kid, the moment when I heard the word ' English ' , all that I can think of is the American people and the British folks living in the West. I've had never thought that a native speaker of the Malay Language like me can actually utter a single English out of my mouth. I've always thought that oneself is only appointed to speak and communicate to his/her native language but damn was I wrong.

I started discovering and learning English with a Sony PlayStation 1 which is one of the earliest video game consoles. Campaign, resume, pause, settings, adventure was one of the earliest words that I've learned form the video game console. Since that, video games and English has become a part of my life. At that moment, I found out that learning and speaking English for me is possible.

As I grow older, video games had contributed lot to me in learning English apart than learning English at school. To be honest, video games had given me a big impact in learning and improving the English Language. As more games are being published year by year, I tend to learn more advanced English vocabulary by playing those games.

As for now, being a teenager and growing up to be an adult, I realised that I've lessen my video games days. But video games were not the only tool that had helped all these years in improving my English. Music and movies had also helped me in developing a stronger and a stiffer English foundation.

The way that music and movies had helped me is whenever I don't understand a phrase or a word in the lyrics of a song or in the script of a movie, I would go to dictionary and search for the meaning of the words that I don't understand. As for now, with the existence of smartphones and the Internet, my job of searching for the meaning of the words had become ingeniously easy. Whenever I watch a movie and of there is something that I don't understand in the movie, I would pause the movie and I'll straight away go and search for the meaning in the Internet. So whenever I watch an English movie, a 2 hour movie may end in 4 hours and sometimes more because of all the pauses and time consumed to search for the meaning in the Internet.

As a conclusion, video games ,music and movies had contributed a lot more to in improving my English rather than the textbooks and exercise books given to me. This method may work on me but it will not 100% work on everyone else. This is because different people have different ways of doing something and learning something. To some people, video games, music and movies may sound like a complete waste of time but for me, those are the gods and goddesses of English to me.

grew up in a small town in terengganu where people who can speak, write and understands English is treated like an outcast and yes it's hard to even enjoy learning English in class without being teased by classmates. You could say most of the time in English class ,spoken English were never used unless it's an introduction session where the only sentences used are "hi,my name is___" and "I lived in ____".

Luckily ,having a mother who knows her way around the language is a big plus one for me. Like in any other languages, grammar is the hardest part. If it's that hard, how did I improve my grammar all these years? Well,it's pretty much the same as everybody else. Do lots and lots of reading. The ability to spot grammar errors and mistakes will come by naturally. Some people would also consider playing video games, or listening to music would improve their grammar but in my honest opinion, it doesn't. These days, a lot of modern music uses too much slang words and ignores using the right grammar. In video games the same problem also happens because to make the video games itself feels real and genuine the voice actors uses too much slang words. But no doubt listening to music and playing video games is a good alternative to learn English but in grammar specifically, reading wins.

In conclusion, whether you like it or not, reading is a must in order to strengthen your grammar

Ever since I was a toddler my mother bought me English books and taught me how to read them. I would always try to understand the sentences and repeat whatever sentence that I remembered throughout the day regardless of it being relevant or not. Even with cartoon shows, I would always ask my mother to turn the English subtitles on for me so that I could read and repeat what the cartoon characters are saying. This helped me a lot during my primary school days because whenever I was asked to write an essay, I would use the sentences that I remembered and maybe change it up a bit so that it was appropriate to the topic. Therefore, I really do think that we can strengthen our grammar by reading and by using it as a communication tool.

In my opinion, there are many ways to strengthen our grammar. One of the most effective way that works for me is by reading english novels that contains various new and exciting ords which helps me to strengthen my grammar.By reading novels now I have expanded my vocabulary which at the same time had improvised my grammar gradually and now I am more confident of my grammar skills compared to I were before.I always jot down all the new and bombastic words I come through the novels and look up for the meaning either in a dictionary or by googling it up`This is to ensure that I get a better understanding of that particular word for my grammar use in future.Everyone may have a different way of strengthening their grammar and I believe this way of mine can also be helpful to many in building up their grammar.Let's READ more and master the GRAMMAR!
