Understanding by Design (UbD) is a framework that focuses on curriculum with start and end goals. The backward design model has 3 stages:

identify desired results

2. Determine acceptable evidence

Plan learning experiences and instruction

This approach helps guarantee that instruction aligns with assessments and learning objectives; this makes education effective and shows its purpose.

Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcOYiM3d3EU

In my professional practice, I would definitely include reciprocal teaching and graphic organizers. One of the outstanding features of reciprocal teaching is that it really gets the students involved and also promotes peer collaboration, which is a crucial aspect of the development of critical thinking. Graphic organizers encourage the use of visuals which help students in understanding and mentally organizing an abstract concept. It is worth noting that both these strategies are suitable for the students' learning styles/needs.
