This included, CPR, choking, supporting broken bones and cuts.

IMPACT:

With my role within the school predominantly being outside teaching PE which can often be a dangerous activity and also Cooking which us hazardous with burns & cuts. This allowed to be more comfortable with what to do in case a first aid situation were to arise.
It also grew my confidence in dealing with different situations with different pupils considering I go to most of the classrooms.

This paired with the Allergies/Epi Pen CLPL helped knowing what to do in all the different classes and how to be prepared for them considerably.

Impact

This CLPL has supported me greatly in teaching and also organising the Food & Health curriculum. This has strengthened my understanding enough to create a progression pathway for this subject.

Have a clearer understanding of how to evidence progress and achievement in PE in particular without simply using teacher judgement.

Rigorously collect data/assess during PE and use this to support teachers in their judgement of their pupils achievements.

Be able to inform parents, teachers & pupils about their achievements in PE and also their next steps.

Work closer to strengthen the bonds already developed between clubs and the school to bring HWB opportunities to the children more regularly than just HWB week.
