I chose this photo because it kind of gave off a little different perspective. I wanted to show plants and trees together because they are what our environment is made up of. I think the two children admiring the plants and trees show the appreciation that everyone on planet Earth should show.

This video " The Amazing Process of Photosynthesis" hit on all things photosynthesis. I chose this because it was informational and I don't believe it left out anything that anyone would need to know while learning the process of photosynthesis. I had found a couple videos before I came across this one but some were leaving out key information and they were boring. So, this one gave the summary also without being a super long video. This video also contains pretty cool visuals ( at least I thought they were cool ) while showing the process.

This is a website from on a Georgia Tech biology page. It is extremely informative when listing the comparisons between the life cycles of angiosperms (flowering plants) and gymnosperms(conifers). I found an additional website that discusses bryophytes and pteridophytes such as mosses and ferns. It also features a nice comparison chart between the two. I will include the link below:

https://biodifferences.com/difference-between-bryophytes-pteridophytes.html

The Marine biome is suggested to be one of the most important biomes in the world. Although, we did not discuss this biome in unit 4, I chose it because it was the first biome that came to mind that I believed was in danger. The marine life obviously consists of water, water is the way of life. Along with the marine biome is freshwater, freshwater supplies our drinking water. This means if there are changes within the marine and freshwater biome this can cause not only ocean life but humans to suffer as well. Here is a link that provides a little insight on the marine biome: https://ucmp.berkeley.edu/exhibits/biomes/

The Neolithic revolution had many good and bad aspects. I chose this chart because it explains the causes and different types of effects of the Neolithic Revolution. Such as, a good thing being developing new technologies but also bad things like women losing their status. For example, women went from working and providing for their families, to then be told to stay at home and cook and clean for their family while their husbands worked and made they money. This was a change because women were no longer seen as equal to men.

I chose this photo because it shows the growth of a tomato. This shows the tomato going from small, medium, too large. This process was not done naturally. Third agricultural revolution cause GMO's which are genetically modified organisms. This means the material within something such as a tomato was altered using a certain type of genetic engineering technique. This fascinates me to know that what we put in our bodies has been tampered with and changed. It really makes you wonder. Am I right?

Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) named after the meadowsweet plant, Spirea ulmaria. I chose aspirin because it is used in our everyday lives. It was introduced in 1899 and has been extremely useful ever since. Humans have become very familiar with this drug. Aspirin is thought to reduce the risk of colorectal cancer, perhaps by as much as 40%, a property that is shared by other non‐steroidal anti‐inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS). (academic.oup) The image I chose is called "The history of aspirin."
