As many of you know, our oceans are facing a serious problem. Because of the plastics we use daily, the ocean is becoming progressively more polluted and dirty.

One popular plastic waste awareness hashtag on social media is #CleanSeas. When someone picks up trash from an ocean or beach, they can post it with the hashtag "CleanSeas." The CleanSeas challenge is also important. It urges many to cut back on single use plastics. The campaign is raising more awareness among social media users, and inspires many to clean our oceans.

1. Pick up trash! maybe even post a picture!
2. Spread the word! iwantmyoceanback and CleanSeas can not function without awareness.
3. Participate in events or fundraisers! It is going to cost money to fix what we broke.
4. Lead your community! Facilitate change! If we slowly work to eliminate most single use plastics, community by community, we can change the world.
5. Encourage yourself and others (possibly via social media) to change the way you reduce, reuse, and recycle at home - you personally can change the world!
