He is trying to find hope in this world. When he get in to high school he gets in trouble. The teacher goes to his house and tells junior that he need to leave rez because if he doesn't rez will kill him. So junior goes to a school for all white school to see if he can find hope. His is doing this his people are turning their backs on him. Junior has lost so much on his journey but he is gaining more that he lost. On his journey he will lose his best friend and his grandmother.
