This influences our understanding of the narrative because we know that Sergei is overreacting because Yoni has no purposely bad intentions.

Something Sergei knew that Yoni didn't was that the goldfish that Yoni was immensely immersed with was an actual magic wishing fish. This caused a misunderstanding between the two characters creating a physical conflict between the characters. This influenced our understanding of the narrative because we understood why the conflict happened creating a bigger and interesting story plot.

Sergei knows that the goldfish is actually magical, but Yoni doesn't. Yoni is just curious and is still thinking about a magical goldfish because he had been asking people about them all day long. By knowing what's kind of going on in their heads, we get a better understanding of their actions and why they did what they did. We now know why Sergei wanted to stop Yoni from touching his fish... He didn't want Yoni to touch the goldfish because in his head he knew that the fish was actually magical, which was something that Yoni was unaware of but of course Sergei wouldn't know that.

Sergei personality is that he prefers to isolate himself from others. In contrast Yoni's personality is that he is an outgoing and curious individual. These differences influence the narratives POV because they have different perspectives of situations.
