They would have to renovate their homes and buildings to somehow protect them from ash clouds or if there might be an eruption they'd have to somehow renovate their homes to protect it. When it comes to tsunamis and earthquakes, again human would have to renovate their homes to protect them from all the disasters that could occur. The USA, we are free, we're a democracy and as a country we're pretty rich. I'm not too sure why that is but I do know that North Korea and Vietnam were not so diverse especially North Korea and this is because they are run by very strict communists.
