During the last two weeks, two major events had been held by the PMP and the experiences which I gained from these two incredible events was extremely valuable for my future study and career.

On the 18th Jan 2019, we had a tour on the Brick Lane led by Chuk and Charlotte. The trip pictured us the beautiful history of Brick Lane and how the Spitalfields communities have integrated into a multicultural society which presents to us today. Even with the different culture groups migrate into Spitalfields, it is still clear to see the ‘footprints' left by different ethnicities across centuries. The Soup kitchen, the mosque as well as the Beigel shop are the best living proof of its fabulous history.

One week after the walk, our PMP classes held a poster presentation on the third floor of the Bancroft Building and the presentation was the most unforgettable experience I have ever had. When I was preparing with the poster with my group members, we object to the idea of multiculturalism because we think instead of merging people together it separates people apart.

During the poster presentation, I and my group member had the chance to share our query to other people in the class and the statement stayed the same.

In conclusion, I think multiculturalism is not a beneficial idea to the emerge of the society. Additionally, I believe the best way to assimilate is to adopt the local culture. All in all, these two events were the perfect learning experiences. The research and group working skill can be every valuable for my future study in Master programs. However, there is so much to learn and I am walking in the right direction.
