Simon Says

Have the students stand in a circle and demonstrate that when you call out ‘Simon says touch your [body part]’ the students must do so as quickly as possible, but that if you only call out ‘Touch your [body part]’ they are not to do so. Any students that make a mistake sit down. Continue play until there are a handful of champions, until only one student remains, or you’ve successfully knocked them all of the students out of the game.

Kids love drawing monsters, and there are many good ways of turning that into a game with lots of language practice. One is to have two dice, one with body parts written on the six sides and the other with the usual numbers. A student throws dices and draw on the whiteboard the combination that comes up, e.g. giving their monster six eyes.
