The lecturer had explained well and in detail about all the information and etails that we need to know about a press conference and most importantly, how do we organize a press conference in the future which I think it is very helpful and crucial for us as a student to know about that due to the career and work requirement that may need us to organize something like that next time in our industry life. Besides that, class practice was conducted at the end of the lecture which I need to plan a mock-up press conference based on a certain specific items. During the class practice, I learnt how to identify the roles of PR personnel in the press conference, I managed to prepare the materials for the spokeperson and the media. In my opinion, I think that this class practice is benefitial and useful for student like me to gain more knowledge and train my basic skills to develop and plan a mock-up press conference as a training and practice so that we can easily realised our mistake, learnt it and resolve the mistake into a lesson always remember in the future.

Other than that, technic like how to recognise the qualities and skills required to effectively represent an organization or brand in the media is also part of the learning content during this lecture class. The lecturer also not forget to teach us about the way and method to learn the key strategies for preparing and conducting media interviews. Advantages and disadvantages are also some of the basic knowledge that I have learnt throughout the lesson of the week. Some of the key points that I found really important and interesting during the lecture lesson of the week will be the preparation to press conference which need to be prepared and done by the reporters. It is a must-know essential by those who planned to become a reporters and journalist in the future as this is neccesary for that job in the industry. Besides that, procedure before the conference starts, during the conference is ongoing and the end of the conference are also some information and details that the lecturer delivered to us during the lecture lesson. In my opinion, I personally think that the learning content in this week class is the intermediate chapter of what the lecturer had taught us during the previous week lecture class.

I also learned how to differentiate between traditional media such as print and broadcast and digital media like social media and online news. Some details information and knowledge like the types of media monitoring, media monitoring tools, and the importance of media monitoring. In my opinion, I felt it was quite challenging for me to fully understand the learning content of this chapter due to the complexity and the difficulties of this chapter itself, so I need to put in more effort and more hard work in order to understand the notes of this week lecture.

Throughout the lecture class, the lecturer had provide us with some of her experience and tips to write news release which I think that benefits me a lot which its some of the knowledge which we cannot get it from the syllabus and textbook. After the class, I finally get to know the subjects of the news release and the things that must be included in a press release by the lecturer showing us some good examples of how a press release should look like. Details like the headline, the writing style, the intro, the quotes are also explained and go through by the lecturer which I thought that it is quite challenging and complicated to complete an actual news release by myself. Last but not least, the lecturer decided to conduct a class practice for everyone to have a chance to hands-on and try out how to write a press release in groups it is so practical and helpful for us to completely understand how to really do it in a proper way which I think this is very beneficial for us as a PR student to use it in the future in our working days.
