The Yalta conference happened in Febuary 1945. It happened between U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Soviet Premier Joseph Stalin.They discussed the future of Germany and Europe after the war, the Soviets involvement against Japan, and the starting of the United Nations.The Potsdam conference happened in July 17th to august 2nd 1945. The conference was attended by U.S. President Harry S. Truman, Soviet leader Joseph Stalin and British Prime Minister Winston Churchill were all in the meeting but Churchill was replaced by Clement Attlee because of the British elections. In the meeting they planned to disarm and demilitarize Germany. The impact of these events is that it had demilitarized Germany and started tension between Russia and the US.

The impact of this is that Russia is showing the US that they are not friendly at all. They don't want them near the Union at all and they want all of Berlin.This heavily ruined Soviet and Russian relations also.

NATO and the Warsaw Pact

The impact of this was that most of the countries were teaming up against the communists. They did not like the communists and were afraid of them taking over.

While the communist people had very different lives they weren't able to experience the western life as the Soviet government feared they would like it so much to stay over there. They oppressed their own people for their gain.

This sent the government into a panic. The cubans could nuke most American big cities in a matter of minutes because they were so close. The U.S imminently started a quarantine on ships entering Cuba. They all got searched for military weapons and materials to build the Missiles. The missiles were given to the Cubans by the soviets. The two contries had worked it out after the large scare. The missiles were dismantled and the U.S. promised not to invade Cuba and to remove U.S. missiles from Turkey.

Vietnam War

The war had started because North Vietnam the country under Communism but South Vietnam fought to keep this from happening they liked it how it was. The North Vietnam was backed by the other soviet countries and the South Vietnam was backed the the Capitalist countries. The war was very gruesome and had over 1,353,000 deaths. The North Vietnam had a very unique fighting style and the Southern Parts were not ready for it. The Northern Part of Vietnam eventually won the war and made the whole country communist. This is impactful because it was the first real soviet win against the Americans. They had started to spread communism way more rapidly and was even beating the capitalists in war.

Fall of the Berlin Wall
