The Poems I chose to write about have really spoke to me. Amy Lowell has stated poetry is something that is suppose be part of your everyday life. It is a emotion that is suppose to bring out the best, worst in you. It makes you feel happy, sad, angry or it can evem challenge you to think outside the box and try to find a deeper meaning behind the poem.

This poem is very simple when you think about it. It is a love ballet saying that all this person has is this poem. Despite all of his short comings he does this person. I spoke to me because I have a wonderful girlfriend. We have been together for over a year and it has been the happiest I have been in a long time. I am a student, I also have to work 40 hours a pay period. I make enough money to pay for school, food, and bills. The little I do have, I share with her, I love you.

While reading this poem, I thought I was supposed to be romantic. A saying that the author was trying to say that he carries his true love's heart around. I didn't get that from this poem. It came off as a creepy stalker poem. "i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done by only me is your doing, my darling".

The lie can either be a good thing to spare someone's feelings, or it can be a bad thing to try and avoid punishment. This poem is about a lie, being found out by a parent and teaching them a lesson in lying.

I personally loved the metaphor for this poem. High school is supposed to be the place for learning, making new friends, dating, dances, proms. For many of us, including me it was a war zone. You were put in groups in the school, instead of new friends you had enemies and on top of it the homework was long and stressful. It was hell, and for people like me, we were happy when it was over.

This poem was about the first world war. It was about the soldiers dying on the battlefield and becoming part the earth because the grass was covering them after all the years of fighting. What I got from this was the bodies were becoming one with the earth and the spirits were starting a new life iin the afterlife.

I took my girlfriend to Disney World for our one year anniversary and saw many movies over the summer before school started. The most resent thing that I am really excited for is the upcoming "Star Wars Rogue One". After seeing the trailer for this movie, I got the chills. I love these movies and I am so happy that I get to watch new movies all over again.
