Animal Farm starts out with an old boar named Major who believes animals should take over the humans. After he dies, Snowball and Napoleon, who are also boars, take over the farm, and all of the animals follow their orders because they are much smarter than all of the other animals. The animals then fight their farmer to own the farm. They develop Commandments for all of the animals to follow. During this time, Napoleon overthrows Snowball and chases him off of the farm so he can gain all of the control. Napoleon, who has crazy ideas, has a pig named Squealer who is his secretary and speaks on behalf of Napoleon. Napoleon and Squealer take advantage of the animals stupidity and make them do all of the farm work. Napoleon breaks almost all of the Commandments, but has Squealer cover it up by writing on the Commandments. Squealer rewords the Commandments to make it sound like they never broke a law, and the pigs are allowed to do whatever they want and have power and strength. During the whole Napoleon era, he makes trades with other humans, drinks beer, sleeps, acts like a human, and makes the other animals work on the farm like slaves.

Animal Farm Quote Analysis

Essentially, this quote means the pigs are like men. First, the pigs are in a house, talking to humans. Also, they sleep in beds, drink beer, kill other animals, and run their own farm. This shows how the pigs say they don't act like humans, but really they have not only started acting like them, but they have turned into them. When George Orwell says it is impossible to tell which was which, he is suggesting the pigs are humans. This is suggesting the pigs used their power to overrule the other animals and could do what humans did without anyone noticing.

Kim Jong-un is North Korea's dictator. He took over after his father died in 2011. His birthday, early childhood, and his marriage are unknown, suggesting he is sly and sneaky with his privacy. He also has a terrible reputation. Jong-un has killed many of his senior officials from his father's regime. In addition, he has his own concentration camps for their prisoners. The North Korean concentration camps are said to be more harsh than Germany's death camps stated by an Auschwitz survivor. He also performs weapon testings with nuclear bombs, ballistic missiles, and other rocket/missile launches. He engages in many heated arguments with United States President Donald Trump. This causes a lingering threat of a nuclear war. Finally, other nations are on edge because of his constant threats to begin a nuclear war.

This quote was an anonymous quote that really links with Kim Jong-un. Jong-un is allies with several countries because he understands being allies could be helpful in the event of a war. For example his alliance with Russia and China. "They fear those with knowledge" relates to his alliance with such powerful countries. Additionally, Jong-un is in control of his country and many of his citizens fear him. Several countries fear him because they do not know what he will do with his resources and power. This explanation connects with the part of the quote that says, "And control those without it."

Animal Farm is very similar to Kim Jong-un. First, they both share my thematic concept, which states, "When people have the opportunity to gain power, they take control and use the power to their advantage." Also, the pictures I chose illustrate control and power. Additionally, the quotes have deep meanings relating power and control, which the pigs and Kim Jong-un demonstrate. Finally, the videos are similar because they both explain how Osama bin laden and Roger Goodell use their power to their advantage. In conclusion, Kim Jong-un and Animal Farm are very similar because they share the same thematic concept.
