On the rue de Rivoli next to the Hotel Meurice and not too far from the Louvre. Lunch, light dinner or snack. You have to get the hot chocolate. Other pastries are fabulous. Good sandwiches, salads, quiche etc. We go here at least twice on every trip.

October 2011: This is the restaurant featured in Something’s Got to Give with Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson. Another casual brasserie. Smaller than La Coupole and Vaudeville so better service.

Update 8/13: We had a wonderful dinner here August 22, 2013 for my 60^th birthday. My entire family, my doctor and his family, and my friends from Belgium were all there. (17 people total) Barbara arranged the evening with Francois and our waiter Philippe,made the evening a night I won't forget. Food and service were wonderful. We had a great time.

October 2011: Famous casual brasserie. Reeks with atmosphere. Mentioned (but not seen) in Midnight in

Paris, although it looks like one of the set pieces from Paris in the 20’s. It’s where Owen Wilson wanted to go instead of spending time with Rachel McAdams’ friends in Midnight in Paris. Picasso hung out here and it supposedly attracts celebrities now, so not allowed to take pictures inside.

Update August 2013: We ate there again August 21, 2013. Had a wonderful dinner. Food was even better than I remember it being in 2011. Barbara loves the herring appetizer. I had the roasted chicken which was great. Profiteroles are wonderful!

Italian in Paris. We had dinner here with the Grants on August 23, 2013. There were 10 of us for dinner. Food was great. Small, family owned restaurant on a quiet street. Great evening.

A typical brasserie, larger than Le Grand Colbert and Brasserie Lipp. We had a great time here August 24, 2013. The waiter drenched my profiteroles with warm chocolate sauce.
