  • In this day and age, it is crystal clear that learning music at a very young age of adolescents is instigating a heated argument in whether this idea is productive or not. From my perspective, I am absolutely inclined to the former recommendation due to the outweighed benefits it brings about.
II. Body:
  1. Against: 
  • Firstly, there is no proof that without music, a child is not capable of developing properly. → explain: accordance with scientific research —> music helps enhance intelligence which does not mean it will diminish one’s cleverness if he or she is not listening to it frequently

  • Secondly, in order to learn music efficiently —> cost a fortune → leads to financial burden.
2. Advocate
  • At the outset, it brings about mental benefits such as:  neurological benefits and improve brain functions - boosts/fosters muscle memory - prevent Alzheimer/ memory loss - practice discipline, patience - Hand-eyes coordination
  • Furthermore, build up and consolidate social relationships since music has always been believed to be the top 5 most common topics when communicating.
