Hill is very single minded and straightforward. The way he said--and the words he chose to say, that "...you will lose..." if you couldn't save your money. I mean, I see where he is coming from but, getting an education, inventing something revolutionary, or working in a good job alone can give you success. It may not get you filthy rich, however it is enough to have some money left over. The fact that this his impression of people is . . . something. He for sure hasn't had any good friends or really took the time to actually get to know people. Furthermore, this shows one of the possible reasons why people never really liked him. He just shuts off all the other alternatives to achieving success; he is most likely like that with all other topics. To him, everything has its one and only answer, nothing, absolutely nothing else can be the answer. Like math. Saving money is a non-human resource, meaning it is going to aid you in life. Not necessarily going to give you success. It is a good habit to pick up though. I can see why people didn't like him, his words are like a huge stab on the back, especially to those who love eating up money as if it were a four-course meal. His last sentence, "The seed of success is not in you." just makes one feel even worse about themselves. He really does know how to make one feel like they have no future.
