A definition of a monster is a living creature who can be a killer, crazy person, ugly, heartless, and etc… The real definition of a monster is an imaginary that is mainly large and ugly. Monsters like witches, satan, the owner of frankie stein and more. Many monsters are misunderstood on their character and their personality. Not all monsters are mean and are meant to hurt people. For example like frankie stein. He was a nice person until he killed one person. Once he killed one person suddenly, on other people's eyes he is a murder and wanted for murder. Of a sudden he is a monster but that was not the case. The real monster was his owner. His owner did not teach the creature anything. He was not even taught to talk. So it was the owners fault. Many people do not know this but many humans that are like us can be or are monsters in a way. We can be out of character and not be ourselves or we can say hurtful things to other people and they can look at us as a monster. There are many ways to be a monster. Another character I would like to mention that looks like a monster but is not a monster is Elphaba. She is different for one reason. Just because she is green. Other than that people would try to interact with other people but she is anti-social. She was not a monster but people were making her feel bad because she looked like a witch then she would have bad thoughts and do other things that make her look bad but she was not. That is was society did not want her. People would just bully her. She was not a monster but she did wanted revenge. She wanted to punish the people or society that bullied her or pushed her away for her to become this. So she just acted bad. She tried to convince people and the society that she was a bad girl but in my opinion she was not bad. She just wanted to get herself out there. A Character name Cerezita was trying to put herself out there too. She was not a monster she was a hero in my opinion. She was trying to get to a protest but her mom was keeping her away from all the people. Cerezita was a person with just a head. She only had too stay home. Her mother had kept herself because she does not want the other people to see her. She was just a head so people would get freaked out and they would call her a living monster. That was the only difference she had. Just because she was a head but in that little mind she was very intelligent. She could do what a living human does. Not all monsters have or need a bad background. The only way to be a monster is to be truly crazy or just be heartless.

Frankenstein by Mary Shelley ¨'I have done all those evil things, but am I the only person who has done wrong? I wanted love and friendship. Think about Felix and his family, who hated me after I had given them love….¨ even though he tried to be good he would always be treated by people horribly. He uses a lot the word hate agans himself in the story even though at the beginning of the paragraph he want to make friendship and give love to the people and world but it was denied by society. Not all monsters are bad but some are being push to behave evil so that society have an excuse of why they should be call and treated by the people.

How many people are often brainwash to believe something that it does not have to be real. Many had the chance to do things differently but we don't do it because what society and the consequences after that can cause. In Kindred by Octavia Estelle Butler “The ease. Us, the children… I never realized how easily people could be trained to accept slavery.” even though we know that there is fallacies in the world or that something is wrong we don't do nothing. When people start saying that women are not capable of outside work or that they do not deserve an education or her only role is to have children. In the case of men you have to act in a certain way dress more masculine than feminine and your tone of voice and conversation should be like boys. In the quote they are are trying to make the readers realized how the kids of the slaves we all ready brainwash they knew that if their parents were slave and anyone who look like them are slaves then they must be too a slave. That's going to be meaning in his life.

"It is stripped off–the paper– in great patches all around the head of my bed...I never saw a worse paper in my life" (Gilman 648).
In this quote, the woman is describing the yellow wallpaper as being "stripped off" and she uses a long dash after that phrase to hint at the reader that the paper is not the only thing that is being stripped off. The woman feels as though her life is being stripped from her because she no longer has freedom of any kind. When she states that she "never saw a worse paper in my life," the woman subconsciously believes that her life at the moment is at it's worse state yet because she is not only depressed, but also extremely lonely with nothing to do besides stare at this wallpaper for her "cure".

What I found interesting in Dolores was when she mentions ” The thing is, a lot of time you have farmworkers who work as families, so there's a lot of fear, because if the woman reports sexual harassment from the foreman, then maybe the whole family will get fired.” I feel like this relates to the definition of monster because it is regarding fear and how they tend to stay quite instead of saying something in order for the whole family to not get fired. There is fear upon these woman because they feel like they do not have the right to speak up for themselves and rather just not say anything because they do not want a bigger problem to occur and that gives the formanthe right to say something about women or look at them a current way or even treat them how they please. Those foreman's are the monsters because they feel like they could get things their way most of the times. Having that train of thought in consideration they take advantage of the poor woman who will remain quite for them not to get fired.

" What was wrong about Chicano Nationalism was its institutionalized heterosexism, its inbred machismo, and its lack of a cohesive national political strategy" (Cherrie Moraga).
In this quote, Moraga accepts the fact that many Chicanos are taking a political stance to fight for equal rights and to try to balance out the privilege that others were born with or into like race or class. However, certain traits ad behaviors in the Mexican culture still exist and set back Hispanics and their fight for a better future. These setbacks are machismo and included is making sure that women stay inferior to men as well as keeping women in social cages and homophobia. Anything relating to LGBTQ+ is strictly forbidden is many Hispanic homes still or looked down upon. This is dividing the Hispanic culture instead of uniting it.

A long line of Vendidas

In the passage A Long Line Of Vendidas by Cherrie Moraga, she mentions how people are being justified for being who they really are and not being accepted by their families or others, ” you are a traitor to your race if you do not put the men first.” and also ” The potential accusation of traitor or vendida is what hangs above the heads and beats in the hearts of most chicanas seeking to develop our own autonomous sense of ourselves, particularly through sexualitity .” These really stand out to society and their families making them feel like they are unwanted for being different. As monsters are never wanted for being ugly and different and they are mistreated so are these people. Beating the hearts of most chicanas makes them feel unworthy and not accepted and feeling like they are actually not worth anything because they are not accepted.

Monsters are creatures or people who do not fit into society because they are not like everyone else usually physically and/or mentally. These characters’ personalities do not usually represent evil; however, they are typically pushed by society and their environment to commit atrocities or lash out against others, and sometimes do change completely and in fact become what one might consider evil. For example, Frankenstein was man-made from many different corpses. He stood out from the rest of society because he was extremely huge in height and size, of different deathly colors, mentally incapacitated, and frightening.
