How are we impacted by TTTC?
We are affected by literary texts as literature gives us a detailed preview of human experiences and allows us to connect with them on levels of emotion and desire. We are impacted by TTTC as it is an important war story that deeply dives into burdens of war that must be known about.

3. In what ways is meaning constructed, negotiated, expressed and interpreted in TTTC?
Meaning is deeply constructed, negotiated, expressed and interpreted as TTTC is a meaningful text about war that is important to read if you want to understand the life experiences of soldiers and their burdens that war had brought them. It is expressed through the things they went through and ofcourse things they carried while interpreting the truth of war in the text.

4. How does the structure of style of TTTC affect its meaning?
The writing structure of style in TTTC is highly realistic and it varies between conversational and highly elevated as the story requires deep connection with the reader to fully understand what O'Brien is describing.

Why do humans read and write stories? Why do you read and write stories? Write about a paragraph.

Humans read and write stories because the experience of stories contributes to our education about the outside world and contributes to our survival. Firstly, stories help us learn threats to our survival as they portray villains, monsters, plagues, etc. Secondly, stories show models of collaboration and teamwork as human being work together to get past any hardships they have. I read stories to learn about other peoples experiences or their fantasy and I think it is very beneficial to educate yourself with others stories.

Linda Krumholz claims (in "The Ghosts of Slavery: Historical Recovery in Toni Morrison’s Beloved") that finding a voice for the thoughts and experiences of women is central to the "healing," historical recovery theme and structure of the book. According to Krumholz, Morrison’s novel "adapts techniques from modernist novels, such as the fragmentation of the plot and shifting narrative voice, to compel the reader to actively construct an interpretive framework" (109). How does the novel specifically address issues of gender, writing and power? How does the structure and style of the novel give voice to "the thoughts of the women of 124, unspeakable thoughts, unspoken" (Beloved 199)?
I believe that this novel specifically addresses the issues of gender, writing and power as it gives a closer feel of what it is like to be the oppressed and the way that those oppressed cannot voice their ideas or thoughts. The structure and style of the novel gives voice to the women of 124 as through this novel, the reader finally gets to hear the oppressed thoughts and ideas of the woman who have been hushed and not taken seriously but when given a closer look those ideas and thoughts were very important to give a voice to.

How does Persepolis connect to other works we've read? Be detailed in how it connects with global issues and thematic and stylistic ideas to other works.

Persepolis connects to other works we have read as for example in The Things They Carried, the narrator faces the same environment as the narrator in Persepolis. Both of the narrators being children in war however one is a man on the battlefield and the other one is a teenage girl who is in the middle of a war in Iran. A global issue that it connects to is how during times of distress a person is forced to mature beyond their age to cope with their surroundings as in both TTTC and Persepolis, both of the characters had to mature beyond their age to adapt to their surroundings.

How does Persepolis connect to our world today?

Persepolis connects to our world today is that the ideas of repression still exist and Persepolis had a deep focus on these ideas. Repression of woman, their choices and other ways that the population has been repressed still exists in our world today.
