My alarm clock rang on the first day and I tried to get up, but to couldn't, I didn't want to. After I hit the snooze button three times my brother storms in making lots of noise in my year and shouts "Gaby, get up, your going to be a freshman in a couple hours!" and then I roll myself out of bed and realize that I don't have a choice.

This is a call to adventure because like many great hero's I had initially refused the call, and didn't get up, but then a shift happened an I accepted the call to start my adventure.

Challenges

I had many challenges along the way but the most significant battles were the battles I fought with myself, I wanted to give up so many times along the road because I thought I wasn't good enough to be in honors classes, and I had trouble Completing all my tasks being in the schools play and dealing with personal struggles.

This fits the archetype of a challenge because every hero has a series of challenges and obstacles that they have to face, and more likely than not the hero will overcome them, just like I overcame my struggles and managed to push myself to work hard throught the whole semester.

Abyss, or death, rebirth

My "Death" or abyss was towards the the second half of the semester when my struggles got the best of me and I decided to give up and stop caring about school and all social interactions, I had completely given up due to all the stress, and even when I told myself I didn't care I continued to stress so I started to mentally and physically shut down and and began cutting people who cared about me out of my life and thats when I realized that giving up wasn't for me so I quit feeling bad for myself and I put all my effort into everything I did and then I put myself out there, and I came to terms with myself and I quit stressing over the things I couldn't control and started focusing my energy into the things I could do.

This is an example of an archetypical Death because I had stopped being myself and because of my challenges, and when it was all over or I was "reborn" I learned some useful things about myself and how the world works, and I came out the abyss a new person.

A gift from the gods

The gift the gods gave to me was my beautiful honor roll certificate I got at the end of the semester for my 3.6 Gpa, and the self awareness I acquired because of the challenges I faced in the first semester of my high school career.

These were gifts from the gods because I got them at the very end of my journey, or what some hero's consider the beginning of a new journey, and they were a reward for compleating my journey

Simba's call to adventure

Simba is born into a royal family, and is chosen to become king, so initially he rejects the call, much I rejected my alarm clock, except I didn't run away, he refuses the call and runs away after he belives he had killed his father.

Simba has to figure out who he is. He has to fight scar, and prove that he isnt worthy of the crown, because he is the one who killed mufasa.

When Simba leaves suddenly that is an example of death because, he fakes his death and he leaves society behind to be with himself and figure out who he is
