How does HCG assist in the development of the placenta?

HCG is produced by trophoblast cells surrounding an embryo that later multiply to form the placenta around the fetus. The amount of the hormone in the bloodstream multiplies every few days as both the embryo and the placenta develop. The placenta takes over progesterone production and ovarian function after it is formed.

How is it used in weight loss?

By using hormone supplements, injections, and calorie restriction, the HCG diet is intended to promote weight loss. It was first said to reduce feelings of hunger and foster weight loss by redistributing body fat from the thighs, stomach, and hips. Some supporters of this diet believed that it can stabilize the body’s metabolism and fix abnormal eating habits. Although it claims to help a person lose at least a pound a day, there is no scientific evidence to prove the effectiveness of this diet.
