Fossil fuels were formed millions of years ago when plants, animals, and other creatures were buried under the earth.Their remains changed over time due to the heat and the pressure in the earth's crust and formed coal, oil, gas these things that are mostly used today. These are the 3 major forms of fossil fuels and were formed from the organic remains of plants and animals. Since, they took millions of years to transformed. Over several years, the plants and animals were converted into black rock called coal, oil, petroleum and natural gas.which we use today!

Fossil fuels are sources of energy that take a million years to form. They are nonrenewable sources of energy, meaning that they cannot be used again once they are expired. Fossil fuels are formed when plants, animals or other organisms die and are buried under the ground. Their remains gradually change to coal, oil or gas due to heat and pressure. As I said earlier, there are three major forms of fossil fuels, which are coal, oil and gas. Fossil fuels are hydrocarbon meaning that they all contain carbon and hydrogen albeit in different quantities. Coal is a solid fossil fuel formed by the decay of land vegetation, Oil is a liquid fossil fuel that is formed from the remains of marine microorganisms deposited on the sea floor, and Gas or natural gas is a fossil fuel that is formed from the remains of marine organisms and is a relatively new type of energy source. There is no definite date for the discovery of the first fossil fuel but we do know that they have been used throughout history before fossil fuels became popular as sources of energy. Our world is dependent on fossil fuels as a main source of energy, if it were to run out we would have to look for new sources of energy, preferably renewable, such as solar energy or hydroelectric power. Renewable energies are also known as green energy as energy such as sunlight, tidal or rain come from natural sources.

Fossil Fuels are the part of non renewable energy , just like oil, gas and coal, which have been formed over million years later and are still forming. They were formed by dead plants and microscopic plants, which were settled in the ocean floor over one another, after a million of years they have been crushed into a chemical called like' Kerogen' it is a chemical compound which is organic and make portion which is in sedimentary rocks, which cools down to make oil, that is the reason they use an oil rig near offshore/onshore fields so that they can drill the rocks which contain oil in them. Slimy green plants can make oil, while hard and rough plants can make coal. Oil or gas reservoirs can form where there are fractured and cracked rocks as the hydrocarbons move around freely, and oil or gas reservoirs are like a curved shape pool which contains hydrocarbons in those porous and fractured rocks. And if they have more , they will be later exposed to the Earth.People find these oil deposits using seismic survey , gravitational survey and geographical mapping . Seismic survey is like a method used to find/locate the oil deposition, so they send seismic waves which will hit back/reflect once hit a subsurface formation so they receive the signal by the receivers using 'Geophones' - like microphones. Gravitational survey is a method in which they use an instrument which helps know the intensity of the Earth's gravity passed down to the surface or through the water.Geographical mapping is a system in which we can capture, store, manipulate, analyze, manage and present different types of spatial and geographical features. We can save the world by reducing the use of fossil fuels, like we can use renewable energy like which can be reused again and again, like solar power, wind power, hydroelectricity, tidal power, geothermal, etc. Here is the amount of the non renewable consumption.
