The myth is further elaborated on a Wikipedia page that was written by the artist and which can be accessed via a QR code. The far-reaching meticulousness of the connections that the skiapode myth is said to have in history also raises the question of whether this mythical creature really existed.

A work with lights like these was installed at the main gallery technician's house which was miles away from the gallery. It was included as part of the show and the address was I think given at the show if people wanted to go and see it. Really interesting intervention I thought you'd be interested in. Its similar to something I thought we would both be interested in which is directly referencing (within works of art) the labour which is present and its importance. 

I think its even interesting too when you come to works which highlight that. In doing so downgrading the labour involved in others parts of a works production. For example (and its not a criticism) who made the lights ? Who sold them? Who installed them? 

This work makes me think of that Nayland Blake on Bueys lecture that I think I recommend & also Philip Lai's work at the Showroom gallery.
