Advicelink Cymru
Advicelink Cymru offers advice on welfare benefits, debt, employment, education, housing, immigration and discrimination. The service aims to help people access the right advice, at the right time and make it easier for them to access services again if they need further help—whether that’s about the same issue or something new.

'Let's talk money'
'Lets talk Money' works with the whole family to resolve their debt and welfare benefits problems and develop financial skills to help them make better informed choices in the future.

Help to Claim
Help to Claim gives people the support they need to claim Universal Credit, from starting an application to getting their first full payment.

NYAS provide two advocacy services across Caerphilly;

Children and Young People Advocacy
A confidential, independent issue-based advocacy service that supports children and young people by helping them to have their voice heard. The project works on a 1:1 basis to enable the child/young person to promote their views, wishes, and feelings and get something stopped, started or changed.

Parent Advocacy
A confidential, independent service that support parents to have their voice heard. The project works on a 1:1 basis and supports parents to resolve issues, make changes, engage with support services and to navigate systems.

Clare's Law;

The Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme (DVDS) often referred to as Clare's Law allows members of the public to ask the police if their partner may pose a risk to them.

This scheme also allows a member of the public to make an enquiry into the partner of a close friend or family member.

Young Carer's Support

Who is a young carer?
A young carer is someone who is under the age of 18 and takes responsibility for looking after someone (usually their mother, father, brother or sister) who is:

ill
disabled
elderly
suffering mental distress
misusing drugs and/or alcohol

A young carer would have to carry out a number of tasks, including:

General care (such as giving medication, changing dressings, helping with mobility
Domestic tasks (such as cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing, shopping)
Emotional support (such as listening to and supporting people)
Intimate care (such as dressing, washing and helping with toilet requirements)
Child care (such as helping with younger siblings)
Other care (such as helping with household and other administration tasks, bill paying, accompanying to the doctor's or hospital)

Group sessions bring together Young Carers across Caerphilly to share and explore common themes, experiences and support needs. The project offers well-being support, information sessions, fun activities and time out from the caring role.

Parent Network/Community Forum

The Parent Network supports parents throughout Caerphilly to have their say on decisions that effect them and their families. Parents can have a say in local planning groups and help shape local service and policies for families, children and young people.

Parents have the opportunity to meet for support and a chat at regular get-togethers to share experience and information.
