Former President Doland Trump, who won in 2016 is back. This is a shock because when he re ran in 2020 he lost to Joe Biden. Not only did he win he absolutely swept the swing states. He had a total of 312 electoral votes. Trump also won the popular vote by 1%.

A New pope has risen

Pope Francis passed away this year on April 21st 2025.Cardnal Robert Prevost was elected as the first US born pope.He spent much of his career as a missionary in South America. He also served as a bishop in the Us and Peru. The current U.S President Trump labelled this as an honor.

The Mega Prison

In El Salavador, a mega prison called Centro de Confinamiento del Terrorismo is well known for its large size. It was originally made for prisoners with alleged gag affiliation. This prison also has very controversial conditions. Since Trump regained the presidency, he has sent over 250 people here. He even has accidentally stuck innocent people in there, foring them to stay since this prison is so strict and intense.

Gaza War

The Gaza war, is part of the ongoing Isreli-Palestinian conflict. Tensions escalated when Hamas (controls Gaza) launched a arrage of rockets into Israel. Israel responded with massive airstrikes and ground operations targeting Hamas infrastructure. This conflict has caused widespread destruction in Gaza. Their have been numerous civilian deaths and a humanitarian crisis.

Ukraine Russia War

The Ukrane war started when Russia launched a full scale invasion in February 2022. The conflict has been escalating since 2014. Russias main goal appears to be toppling the Ukrainian government and taking more land. The war has caused mass destruction, and millions of Ukrainians have been forced to leave their homes.The internatinal community has condemned Russia, and imposed some heavy sanctions. As tensions begin to escalate finding a peacefully solution is starting to become not an option.

Hurricane Helene made landfall in Florida as a Category 4 hurricane late on September 26, 2024.Helene was the strongest storm on record to make landfall in this region.The storm brought devastating impacts well inland along and east of the path. The greatest impact across West Central and Southwest Florida was the storm surge that Helene produced.Just two weeks after Helene, Hurricane Milton made landfall on Siesta Key in Sarasota County, Florida as a Category 3 Hurricane.

Jimmy Carter, 39^th president of the United States and winner of the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize, died peacefully Sunday, Dec. 2.He was 100, the longest-lived president in U.S. history.Carter lived longer than any president in U.S. history and celebrated his 100th birthday in October. He was known as a Global Peace Broker and Peacemaker.Since 2018 and the death of George H.W. Bush, he was the oldest surviving U.S. president.
