Play ‘Show & Hide’ with your child. Use a cup and put some small counters inside. Quickly show your child, and then hide them. They make an estimate, and then you count together to check if they were close. 
Devine le nombre d’objets . Combien de cubes/ billes/ bonbons… ..y a-t- il dans le pot a ton avis?

The objective is not to get it perfectly correct, the point is an accurate answer. If the total of a set is 12 and your child guesses 11 or 13, that’s a good guess as it is very close to being correct.
