Dates: Oct 4, 1944 she was in the labor camps until she got liberated on May 5, 1945.
Important Facts: She wasn't happy or felt any emotions when she was liberated because she said that she had seen so many terible things. Helga, her mom, and many others were starved for 5 days before their camp was liberated. She was sent with her mom which was lucky enough to go too. They worked for a while and had to do a 16 day death march. The death march led her into another concentration camp where she would spend her last days in a concentration camp. She would live in a home for girls there for 3 years, watching friends get taken to Auschwitz. until 1944... she was sent to Auschwitz and stood in a line to wait and see where she would go, to the gas chambers or to the labor works factory? When she got to the front of the line and lied about her age to one of the most infamous doctors in the world. The resistance she did was lie to someone at a NAZI camp.
