Clear and arguable position: Yes! We can tell from the first sentence how she feels about this topic. If so many people are dying from not have a kidney and so many are dying to sell a kidney, why not make it legal?
2. Necessary background information: Yes, the author provided a few paragraphs giving readers background information that allows us to know what we are reading and how she is going to prove her point.
3. Good reasons: She points out many good ideas that could come from legalizing this. One of the most important is that it would save lives and honestly why wouldn't we doi it if we could save a life? She also lists other good reasons including added revenue because people will do almost anything for money.
4. Convincing evidence: The author had a lot of convincing evidence. It would benefit so many people, not only the person receiving the procedure. It would even be good for the economy, it could bring in revenue to the hopsital and bring a good name to the surgeon, etc.
5. Appeal to readers' values: This article 100% appeals to my values and many others' as well. If we can do something to save lives, so people get to experience another day, week, month, year, on this beautiful planet, why wouldn't we. Human lives are so precious and many people die because of the lack of organ donations.
