Point-1)Trade would increase drastically if everyone will communicate easily as no trade barriers.

Evidence-In a surveycommissioned by EF Education First in partnership with the Economic Intelligence Unit (EIU), of nearly 600 executives from across the world, almost half (49%) admitted that communication misunderstandings have stood in the way of major international business deals and therefore resulted in significant losses for their company. Language and cultural differences are therefore proving to be major barriers to businesses succeeding on an international level. We see this as a problem especially for companies who are making their first foray outside their native market, with almost two thirds (64%) saying that differences in language and culture have made it difficult to gain a foothold in foreign markets.

Persuasive device- Use of facts and figures

Point-2)-useless to have over 6,000 languages

Evidence-Waste of brain capacity
we only use about 10% of our brain.

Content Point :
1) Better Communication :There are about 8000 languages in the world and according to a report of UR (universal report) suggests that if everyone learned one language it would be better everyone it could help people understand each other and travelling will be easier.

PD:Facts and Figures

2) Cultural differences kept aside For instance, every country has their own language because of cultural differences and background but in school they are taught another language to be able to communicate with someone of another ethnicity if they needed to. For example I am an Indian student who is learning French, but what if I wanted to travel to Germany and did not known German? I would have to take another foreign language course.

PD: Hyperbole

3) Beneficial for global peace Most of the wars are because of not having proper communication between nations. Countries such as USA and Canada usually have very good relationship partially because of having adequate mutual understanding of each other. This understanding between nations can be achieved when the nations and not only the intellectuals are able to communicate with each other directly.

PD: Power of Three

4) World would develop much faster! This would be the number one point to speed up processes concerning world communication, laws, communication between people. For example EU is translating every year hundreds of thousands of documents, processing them in every language+ making speech translation. This slows everything down times ten. One language would be the most important to reduce bureaucracy. One language would unify people . That is what we actually need over the world. To feel as one . But different languages create barriers of language and differences in not understanding each other. Psychologically this creates a barrier.

PD: Emotive Language

Roger Jash A.
