$3,000 emergency grants for households

Employees and customers in flood-affected areas can access grants of $3,000 to help with costs for essential items and services.

The relief measures can include: 

- Access to in-advance loan repayments or funds in Term Deposits

- Restructuring loan repayments

- Options to help customers to restore their homes or replace damaged items.

You can get it for a maximum of 13 weeks. We’ll pay this from the date you started losing income as a direct result of the NSW floods starting in February 2022.

If you’re eligible, you’ll get the maximum equivalent rate of JobSeeker Payment or Youth Allowance, depending on your personal circumstances.

Assistance is now being provided to 57 local government areas in NSW through the jointly funded Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA). Primary producers recovering from the devastating impacts of floods are receiving vital support, with Special Disaster Grants of up to $75,000 now available.

Flood affected primary producers are encouraged to apply for Special Disaster Grants to access financial assistance to get back operating as soon as possible.

Once approved, eligible primary producers can access $15,000 in assistance up-front, with a further $60,000 in financial assistance available thereafter upon submission of valid tax invoices.

It's so important to be able to help those who homes were significantly damaged or destroyed in the NSW Floods.

There are an overwhelming amount of people and families who will not be able to return to their properties as they have no accommodation or shelter available to them after the loss or damage to their homes. 

This program will supply them with a Tiny House on site, so that they can return to their properties and have somewhere safe to stay, out of the elements, while they contemplate their next move in the recovery process.

Once the recipients have been re-housed back into their existing homes the Tiny Houses will be retained by our organisation in order to use again to help more people.
