Economically, we've grown so much. Listen let me tell you, in NC we are sixth for agriculture and 94% of those are native Spanish speakers. In 2012, the Census said that North Carolina’s 62,000 Asian- and Latino-owned businesses had sales receipts of more than $13.5 billion and employed more than 79,000 people. North Carolina's Asian and Latino population brought in more than 25 billion in NC's economy all with their combined purchases of power. The Latinos in NC have paid 2.5 billion in federal,state, and local taxes. 1.4 billion of that was from Latin American immigrants. We have more than 17,000 foreign students joining colleges contributing to 458 million to the state's economy in tuition, fees and living expenses. Truly, we can say economically we've grown thanks to the immigrants.

Now, culturally we've also had quite the growth. We have more and more celebrated holidays everyday. In America, although this was an old study in 1998, we had more than 120 celebrations in 21 different states. We have tons of Latino, Asian, and many more restaurants and stores. With a whopping amount of 41,000 Chinese restaurants in the US. Having 3 times the number of McDonalds' franchise units with also a great 17 billion is annual sales. If you don't know already Latino food is the 3rd most popular menu type in America. No less than 38,000 units of Latino restaurants. Also, one in every 5 Americans (about 19%) speak a second foreign language. Also, there's another 50% whom are aware of these languages but don't know it essentially. I told you, culturally we have GROWN.

Finally, population wise the USA have sky rocketed. We have immigrants being blamed of over population. The foreign born population increased 8.8 million more than in 2000 in 2010. As of 2017, there are 11 million illegal immigrants living in the US. That makes us 29.5% of the US. In 2010, there was 40 million foreign-born people in the US. In 2006, NC had over 600,000 immigrants living there making up 6.9 percent of the state's entire population. Since 2000, the US accepts 1,000,000 immigrants every year. At its highest their are probably 37,000,000 legal immigrants. To end this off, immigrants have provided a lot for Americans despite the over population.
