It prohibits the government from stating a religion for all people, which means that anyone can chose the religion they prefer, without the goverbment’s permission.

The article is about a church on Texas that wants to put a statue of the 10 commandmants in front of a mall, to bring everyone who passes by, joy and peace while seeing/appreciating God’s words.

The chosen document expresses freedom of religion by letting this Texa’s church to set a statue of the Ten Commandments in a public place. Which is important because it shows how people from diverse religions, can express themselves by showing to the public a variety of religious symbols (in this case the Ten Commandments) as long as it is appropriate for the public, and accepted by the government. Also, it does gives peace to the people who pass by and sees God’s words. Maybe someone is having a bad day, and that person needs their heart to be touched.

Lewisville, Texas
November 18, 2017 2:03 p.m.

http://insider.foxnews.com/2017/11/18/ten-commandments-statue-be-erected-shopping-mall

The man (Mark May) argued that he expressed his first and fourth amendment to defend the “action committed”. It is important because it shows us, until what point can we express our freedom of speech, (even though it was an action) and defend our actions? This man showed the middle finger to the state trooper after he gave him a ticket for provoquing the trooper. The jury said that he was fully protected by the first amendment during his trial.

Indiana
February 5, 2018 11:19 am
https://www.usnews.com/news/national-news/articles/2018-02-05/indiana-man-sues-for-right-to-flip-off-state-trooper-with-middle-finger

The right to circulate opinions in print without censorship by the government.

(The following article shows a different view of freedom of press)
The article below shows how president Trump violates the freedom of press by calling the journalists the “enemy of people”. The article shows a violation of Donald Trump to the first amendment, the freedom of speech. Due to his various actions, the journalists are just doing their work, and they do not have anything to do with Trump. He calls the journalists’s news “fake news” which are not fake news but TRUE news, since the president does not have a polite way of expression, his thoughts can be expressed in a way that majority of people would cosiered “aggressive”. This is important because due to the actions, done by President Trump, the journalists, the press, has been targeted as fake, when this people are just doing their work, to show people what is happening in the country. The president’s way of expression is what the press is showing to the people, his actions and words are repeated by the press.

February 25, 2017
