If the bears give birth too early, they will have to mustian the cubs for longer before venturing out of the sea, potentially running the risk of not having enough energy to survive until the seal pupping period. 
Adult bears iniciate - wich is actually ritualized fighting or work battling - by standing on their hand legs.
This huge mammal possesses razor-sharp claws on its forepaws, wich help it to dig through solido ice.
Polar bears have dermal bumps on their feet´s soles, wich help prevent them slipping on the ice.
