THE JUDGE HAS TO ALLOW THE LAWYER TO SPEAK IF HE WANTS TO DO AN OBJECTION, AND HE HAS TO STAND UP AND SAYS "OBJECTION YOUR HONOR".

STEP 2 : THE REASON OF THE OBJECTION IS THAT THE WITNESS IS NOT ALLOWED TO TESTIFY ABOUT WHAT SHE OVER HEARD SOMEBODY ELSE SAID.

An objection is when a lawyer has a complaint about a question that was asked by the opposing lawyer.

To make an objection, you need to stand up and make sure that the judge can see you and say "objection". Once the judge turns his attention towards you, you can explain why you believe the question the opposing lawyer is asking is irrelevant. You have to respect the judges decision even if he overrules your objection. No matter what his descision is, you have to sit down and let the examination continue according to the judge's decision .

An example of a reason a lawyer can make an objection is "Badgering". This is when a lawyer hammers a witness with the same question over and over again because he did not get the answer he wanted from the witness.

Step 2:

The objection was made because the eveidence being presented was hearsay.

The lawyer started by saying "objection", then he stated the reason for his objection by saying that the eveidence was hearsay.

Step 3:
The reason for the objection was "vague as to time"

This is when the testimony of the witness is not precise. It is when the date, time and location of the incident has not been mentioned. When all three of the following have been mentioned, it helps seperate the irrelevant information from the relevant information.

The example given was with a young woman saying when an incident that she had mentioned previously occured. She said that it was on a saturday because that was when Mr Filful had his visits hith Tommy at 2.30 2 weeks ago

He adresses to the Judge who agrees or "overrule" the objection.

Step 2
a) The reason of the objection is because the evidences seems irrelevant to the lawyer.
The lawyer says "Objection your Honour" and waits for the Judge to accept his request.
b) (video B):
*The reason is that the lawyer don't want some hints to be revealed because "when and where" are important question to figure out if the case is relevant or not and catch the criminal.
*It's a reason for disagreeing with someone else's attitude, questions, answers...
*The example was a lady who was babysitting a toddler when the incident happened. As she was heading to the grocery store to pick up some things, the kid's father showed up and ask if he could take the kid. It was very unusual because the father is at work at this time of the day (Saturday noon), he only gets home on 2.30 p.m. Also, he didn't look very fresh (he had glossy eyes, he smelled liquor...) so she didn't let the dad take the kid. At the end of the witness' testimony, the father looked embarassed.
