We can be intrinsically motivated to learn, to do, to create and when we throw a system of accountability or evaluation on that already motivated individual or group it could have the opposite impact that we wanted to have. In a typical measurement method accountability is measured for teachers by standardized testing. Teaching in a Jesuit setting allows me to be accountable to the students in different areas.
