During this pandemic I decided to take my foreign language which is French and I sir Choy was my prof for 2 semester, French 1 and 2. Last Period, sir Choy made a really brave decision which is to continue to teach us even if the school said that our French 2 class will be dissolved kasi dalawa lang kami but sir Choy disagreed and still continues to teach us. I really appreciate his effort and the decision that he made to still continue to teach us given that he is old and during that period he was hospitalized several times and it worried us. He even said that he will gave me a french dictionary but yea it won’t happen. Even tough I haven’t meet him personally which I wish I did, he still my best professor so far, his patience and understanding towards us is extraordinary. Sir, thank you so much for everything. I hope to see you in the other world. You will forever be in my heart, I will never forget you. Merci beaucoup 🙏🏼💛💛

I met Sir Choy during my first year in Enderun. He always had a smile on his face and greeted anyone that came his way. Despite difficult times during the semester, we always knew that we always had a space wherein we could be happy and stress free even if it was just for 1 1/2 hours. Life and Works of Rizal with Sir Choy was an extra special class for me because this was where I met the best people who went on to be my best friends. He would always joke about us being joined at the hip and gave us the nickname tres marias. Sir Choy was one of the only professors who asked everyone about their life story and truly listened. It was always a joy to see him walk around the halls and Enderun will not ever be the same without his sweet soul. Thank you for inspiring us and telling us all about your adventures abroad. I hope to visit Europe one day and finally see everything you lovingly told us about. Rest easy, Sir Choy.

Four years ago, I've met Sir Choy during our First Edition Assembly. He was so excited talking about creativity, writing, and the organization itself. I remember Sir Choy taking pictures of not only our meetings but in every school event as well. Enderun events would definitely feel incomplete not seeing him dancing around while holding his camera. Years later, I had Sir Choy as my French 1 prof. Even though the challenge of online learning is evident, he never failed to show up every class and extend every help we need. Luckily, I was chosen to be his beadle as I worked closely with him throughout the whole semester. Sir Choy would always email me advices and tips regarding internships and more effective ways of learning French. He would always comment on my work and provide support. He even gave me a French grammar book to help me with my learning :(( Thank you for always going the extra mile, Sir Choy. You will be missed.

Thank you, Sir Choy, for being the grandfather your students never had. You always had that big smile on your face every time you see us in campus. It’s nice to know that I had a supportive professor like you. I wish I spent more time talking to you about random things, but you were always so understanding that we had little free time. We’ll make sure that your legacy lives on! Rest in power, Sir Choy!
