Explanation:
Destination Fyn wish to upgrade what Fyn has to offer in general and in this case Odense specifically. As their vision is being a destination cooperation and their mission entails economic growth, to be present and courageous. There has become a new trend within tourists that goes under the phrase “Localhood”. Tourists do not want to be just a tourist anymore. They want to experience and become a part of the local culture and meet the inhabitants of the destination in their own environment. Airbnb Experience give locals an opportunity to showcase their community or skill and thereby involve them in a fun and attractive manner.

Product:
The Ultimate "Hygge" Experience

Primary research question:
What would be the main pull factors for a tourist to experience “hygge” and how can it be implemented in the product on Airbnb experience?

Secondary research questions:

Who are the target audience and how will the personas look like?

How can this experience contribute to sustainability?

How will the logistics for the product look like and what will determine them?

Methodology
Quantitative: The questionnaire/survey will be divided into three phases: Factual questions, cognitive questions and lastly questions that makes the participant give an opinion. The reasoning behind this order lays in the psychological trust it builds. Trust in the questionnaire and who made it will potentially give more honest and reliable answers. From the questionaire it will have statistics that are useful combined with already existing data.
Qualitative: 1 interview including the observation method
Secondary data:
Tourist segmentation, purchase behavior and Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. This can be useful for pinpointing the details of the product. It can also help with choosing what kind of content the questions should be in both the questionnaire and interview. Theory specifically dedicated to tourism management also will be used in the analysis, because results and findings could be contributing to the conclusion of the thesis. In this aspect it will touch on Morrison’s “10 A’s to successful tourism” for the purpose of categorizing Odense as a destination and what it offers. To asses how the developed experience fit into those categories it will be addressed in a SWOT analysis

Idea: Cooking class.

Want to take the kids out for dinner or go out with your friends but have a low income? A cooking class is what you need! At this cooking class the costumers will be able to learn how to make traditional Danish food. Denmark have a long history of food and for most Danish families, eating dinner together is a part of the Danish “hygge”. The class will take approximately 4 hours including instructions and eating. This cooking class is an activity that can happen in any time of the year. In summer is could be a possibility to cook outside if the weather allows us.

Who’s the target group?

The target group is both families with kids and singles.

People with a low income should also be able to attend this class.

Methodology

For this idea to work, we need to know if there is an interest at all. I will also research into what beer is popular in Denmark but not so much in other countries.

I will create a survey with a lot of different questions to see how people would like it to be implemented, but also to see if there is an interest.

Why

since Denmark is widely known for their beer all around the world (Carlsberg, Tuborg) it could be an effective way to attract all kind of tourists. Both tourists who is traveling for fun, and also for business, since it is a fun activity for team building as well as relaxing fun.
I believe that the existing interest in beer and history, will be a great motivator for people to visit this activity. it is for both Danes as well as tourists from all over the world.

Models

10 A’s. (awareness, availability, access appreciation, assurance) i would mostly use a variety of the 10 a's to make af overview of how the activity is set up.

persona. i would use this theory to determine my main targetgroup, this will be made after trials and survay is done.

Ansoffs matrix. his will be used to determine the product and the market.

Product idea:Walk and Eat: Odense CityInstead of just another classic guided city walk. You can as a tourist with this product, go on an exciting “walk and eat” tour, food and history in harmony. You will not only be shown around the center of both the old and new part of Odense city, learn all about the different parts of Odense city, the history of the city as a whole. But also get the opportunity to taste a various of classic Danish dishes. When you finish this tour, you will be able to pronounce words like Grød, Brød and Brunsviger, and yes of course a real Danish pastry also known as Wienerbrød.Research Question:1.	Since there is not already a large selection of guided tours in Odense on AirBnb, is there then even a market for guided tours in a city like Odense.2.	Are tourists willing to pay a little more for a city walk if it does not just include food, but is directly built on the concept of Danish food and if so, how much more are they willing to pay3.	Explore the different opportunities for collaboration and compare them to my models example Sustainability. Which restaurants work for the benefit of the environment, the employees and Odense as a wholeTarget group. My target group for this product are adults from the age of 25, mostly couples with a low to middle income. It will be a family friendly product but although this city walk not will be very long due to the limited area of the center of Odense it is intended to perish in. it can present certain challenges for people with walking difficulties.Theory:Wil make use of Morrisons “10 As of successful tourism destinations”Personas/profile to make a general picture of my customerIdentify competition and Comparisons with other experiences A SWOT over my product Sustainability, what will it make of impact on the different restaurants in Odense, would it Product development. For example, would it be possible for my product to positively contribute some smaller Often more hidden restaurants or food culture which, in general may be under threat by the other foreign-inspired restaurants as well fast-food chains.ButlersEmpirical Data:Secondary dataStatisticsMethodology:I wil try out my concept on some few friends and familemembers but since the entire product is intended for foreign tourists as well as the guided tour will be in English only, then this part of the data collection will not be able to stand alone. I would therefore also have to look into some other Secondary data and some more general static about the different major cities in Denmark and compare it with the offers on AirBnB experiences you as a tourist will be able to book today.I Will design my product by making use of the different models I have chosen.
