I like the idea of having a picture with each time so that the children can look at it and have a better understanding of what we are doing next and throughout our day! I also like that it has the clocks on the side so the children can start to get familiar with time/reading the clock as well

This is a daily schedule that I made for special education. It is a desk/table schedule for autistic students that struggle with transitions and keeping track of the day. It closes so it is easily placed on the desk/table without being in the way. When each task is completed, the student can pull it off and place it in the finished section.

I love this idea on the classroom jobs, because they provide pictures of what the children will be doing. Not all preschoolers can read the words on the schedule, so providing pictures is an awesome idea, so the kids will have a better understanding of what they will be doing. In my three year old classroom I had something very similar, but I would love to add pictures to it.

I like this schedule. And I like the arrow that moves with the activities. You could have it be apart of the "helper day" I would also like to add a clock that tells the times for each activity. That way you can start to teach about time and the kids can visually see the matching clocks.

I really like this schedule. It shows a routine of what we would be doing during the day. And will hopefully take away the question of "what are we doing today?" which is a question teachers get asked multiple times a day. It also shows the time with a clock, so you can teach your students how to read time.

What time is it?
I really liked this schedule because it combines the idea of looking at a clock to determine what time it is. Allowing students to see visually what is happening at that particular time and to get a sense for what has been accomplished and what is still ahead.

This is a fantastic idea for jobs for the students within the classroom. Posting the jobs on the wall for the students to always see can be a reminder for them to make good choices so they can keep their job. I know in my classroom we would use job necklaces in the morning. The students would get to pick their own jobs during circle time. I do like this idea better because it is not something physical that they have to play with or make poor choices with, it is simply the students picking a job and putting their name on whichever job they want.

I really like have a visual out for the students to see and read the schedule for the day. It’s nice for them to know what to expect do transitions can run smoother. I also love that it has large enough print to be read from the back of the room.

In our Preschool classroom we have a wall with pictures on it. These pictures our of our children doing the different things that we do throughout the day. We then hung them up on order on the wall eye level with the children. When we move to the new part our schedule we move the clip to where we are at in the part of the day. We do not put times beside what we do throughout the day we just label the activity. We were taught through NAEYC that by putting times on our schedule is limiting the child. We can do math, science, reading throughout the entire day you just have to take advantage of the opportunities in the classroom. We also have a poster next to the daily schedule. On this poster it has a bunch of helper jobs that children can help teachers with throughout the day. We also have sticks with each and every child's name on it. We use the sticks and put them in the pouch so the child knows what helper job that they have.

Daily Schedules are very important for children because it provides a sense of repetition. When children can come into the classroom and just look up at the board to see what is happing for the day, it makes for a less chaotic day. The chart visual that I have chosen to show is just like the one that I had as a child! I always loved seeing that my teacher knew the weather and she would write what we were doing for the day. That really helped me as a child to focus because I knew what we were doing for the day.

Daily Schedules are important because the children need to know what's going to happen next. In the Toddler Room we have a visual schedule of our children doing the activities. We have this at the children eyes level so they are able to look at it. We also talk about the schedule. We also talk daily about the pictures of the daily schedule on a timeline about how the day is going to go because children do not understand the concept of time.

This is my classroom calendar that I made. For the square that have the days of each month and different themes, I used recycled Plunder jewelry bags and repurposed them to hold my days of the month. I cut out my calendar on white cardstock and colored them rainbow because I think everything should be colorful for pre-k! I put Velcro attachments on the calendar and the back of the days of the month to make it easy to put on and take off. The pocket cards with popsicle sticks in them are what we use for our jobs, and we change them every week by moving the popsicle sticks down the line. I taped the job cards to the pockets. Off to the left, I have a list of our daily schedule. (I got the job cards and the print outs of our daily schedule off of teachers pay teachers Pocketful of Preschool page). We also take attendance everyday with the magnets that have their names on them. If they are at school, I move their name to the side with the school bus. If they aren't at school they stay on the side with the house. If we have an absent student, we sing them a song to wish them well and talk about how we will keep them in our hearts until we see them again.

In our older classroom at the daycare center I work at, they have a daily schedule that they have posted in the classroom right under the month bulletin board. It has kids doing those activities so they are able to see what is next. We also have little pouches that have visuals on them for daily duties and who is going to be that helper for the day. The kids names are on popsicle sticks and the teacher with mix them up and draw one for every duty until they are filled. It makes the kids feel special that they get to have a "duty" for the day!

This is a sample of the classroom daily schedule we use at ECDC. The children have group and choice of activities. The morning is a preschool setting that focuses on learning through play. After lunch we continue on the day with quality child care. Families can choose half day or full day and the number of days they would like to attend.

i love the idea of daily schedules for toddler because if they start to learn in the classroom to put toys away then they will help at home to. Classroom jobs I would have them do is help pickup toys that they get out. I would put their name on this chart and put on it who all help pick up and at the end of the week i would give award to each one who helped pickup toys

I think daily schedules are needed for children so they know what to do day by day, and they know what comes next, their schedule should be consistent, and they learn time. When it comes to teachers it is important for us if we have a schedule with set times because then we can focus on transitions and the transitioning between events for the children.

I made this last semester in Creative Activities. I think this is a great idea for keeping the classroom organized in there jobs. Their names would go on on the pink bubbles. I did use this in my classroom before I moved to the infants. If the children achieved their jobs like they were suppose to, they would receive a prize at the end of the day!

I made this on my word and printed it out. This is example i would want hanging up on the wall of out daily routine and would look at it and go through what we are doing today, for example at 230 books I would tell them what book we are reading today or for quiet activity I would go through what activity we are doing for that day.

This is something I would use in my 12-24 month room. It has the times and the visuals for the kids. The visuals would be about the only thing that they would understand about this, but as a teacher, I would know what time I would need to do those certain activities.

In my classroom, we are the Jungle Explorers. This is our new tour guide duties in our classroom! I used my Cricut to help cut and write everything. I feel like this will help establish a better routine in our classroom and teach each child responsibility. Each child will get a chance to perform a job duty. The 5 friends that do not have an assigned job duty will either fill in where needed, or get to help with anything else we need assistance with.

I found these boho rainbow classroom schedule cards on Teachers Pay Teachers! My plan is to laminate and use them in my future classroom. One reason I love these schedule cards in particular is because, once laminated, the time can be drawn on the clocks and written in the boxes to match; the times can then be edited as needed, day to day! I am SO excited to use these in my classroom!

It will be each student to help in some way and if they get five stars they get something special. A star for helping and the bright is for seeing a child happy doing something for reward. That is what I do with the kids I baby sit. I made this poster and made up the name. It has helped with the kids at home because the kids got into less trouble. I learn that you have to try new things because kids get bored with it. It's only good for good behavior

A visual schedule is great, have a students job be the schedule helper to move the start or clip to the correct activity. Having a flexible schedule helps if you need to change it up for that day, the children can see the change plus hear you say it. I also like to have weekly jobs for each child, pictures and words will help the children learn what the different job is.

If a child needs their own you can incorporate a first then board, or a personal flip schedule.

Working with 2-year-olds, we have a daily schedule, but some days it is necessary to trail off at times. We are introducing the idea of schedules and routines with them, but it is not as clear-cut for them until they reach the ages of 3-4. A lot of our older students in the class (have been 3 for a few months), understand what comes next in the day, so incorporating a picture schedule may be beneficial for them. As for the younger ones, they just aren’t there yet. The idea of a circle time helper is introduced as well, but specific helpers beyond that are not until ages 3-4. By the end of the year, the majority of the class wants to help my co-teacher and I do everything, so we allow this within reason. I definitely will be considering a simple picture/visual schedule for coming school years!

With me being a float assistant teacher at a Montessori school it’s are to get a everyday routine for me because I technically don’t have one. I usually don’t know where I’ll be or what my day will look like, or consist of. But I can say all the Roy times are consistent and very similar in each of the classes. The only thing that separates their routine uniquely is their time frames and the levels of development.

For my classroom, I created a custom classroom schedule with pictures of our classroom with myself and current students included. We also have designated jobs for each that student (which changes weekly) and one of the jobs is schedule helper. Our schedule helper description includes moving the clip to the next activity throughout the day. This helps give that sense of time. I’ve also created “at home” schedules for kiddos who struggle with drop off in the morning. I took a picture of the parents vehicle (with permission) next to the front of our school along with our daily classroom routine. This really helps the kiddos with big emotions!!

My littles sometimes let me know when it's time to eat or go outside. I love that. Schedules are a good way to start the morning circle time, of course, good language skills, and help those kids who are a little lost, feel more secure.

Keeping a good routine helps children to feel safe and comfortable throughout the day so they know what to expect. I think changing things up whether it's changing out songs or adding a special game/activity etc. these small changes can keep the children entertained and engaged and introduces a gradual or small change to something new.

Daily schedules are so important for children. children need consistency and sticking to a daily regular schedule and routine will help keep the class room calm and in order. we usually start the day with snack, then circle time, then montessori work cycle, we always go outside and play after as long as weather permits, we then each lunch and have nap time, after nap time we have our afternoon snack and then go outside and play for the remainder of the day. we will have indoor activities when weather doesnt allow outdoor activities.

I wanted to share something a little different that has been very beneficial for my special needs preschool daughter. It is a visual schedule app that you can personalize the items with your own pictures & voice. For example, I created a "task" called Go home to mommy with a picture of her and I and recorded myself saying it. When she felt overwhelmed and her separation anxiety was overtaking her ability to focus at school she would take a break to look at her schedule. She could see the picture of us together and play my voice saying go home to mommy which was very comforting for her and would calm her down to refocus on what tasks she needed to achieve to get to that step. There are also hundreds of pre-made tasks you can easily put in for wash hands, go to bathroom, etc.
