Copper Sun by Sharon M. Draper

This was a very good book in the historical fiction genre. It was a little bit mature so I wouldn't recommend it to all audiences but that is a great book by Sharon Draper. She took us on a journey with the characters that made me picture what was happening and feel as if I was there.

I had recently read a historical fiction book for my summer reading project so I wanted to read another because I really enjoyed the first one. This was in another state and another time frame. This book follows around Danny Blackgoat or Fire Eye. It is really interesting and a great Native American fiction book.

I had seen this book many times before but I had never read it. I am glad he did now because this was amazing book and maybe even better than the other book I read. I would recommend it to all.

I have always loved the way Gary Paulsen has written books. All his others I have loved so when I stumbled on to this I had to read it. Gary did another marvelous job on this book. It was also one of my last chances to read Gary Paulsen since his writing is a little young.

I love sports books and this one did not disappoint. Mike Lupica wrote another masterpiece. Summer Ball follows around a 13 year-old boy in basketball summer camp who has struggle with being smaller than everyone. And to his luck he also has a coach who seems to hate him and his arch rival on his team. He has some big ups and some really low downs but it all seems to work out.
