A teacher should be someone who cares about their students, and should not depend on race, ethnicity, hair color, weight or way they dress. Teachers should be there to educate and help their students learn about the world no matter what they wear or look like.

I agree with the statement that clothing doesn’t define how you teach. You can be dressed “properly” according to whatever rules were started at the time but be underperforming teacher. Or you could be dressed casually and be one of the most beloved teachers.

Teachers should realistically be able to wear whatever they want, depending on specific schools rules (ex: if students wear uniforms, teacher should probably dress more professional as well) But when it comes to the average school I don't see how dressing casual vs more formal plays any role in the ability to teach or manage the classroom.

teachers should have a level of professionalism while in school, not necessarily needing to cover their whole bodies or be attractive, but also not dressing to show off. they should be able to be comfortable in their clothing and themselves and wear what they want and do their hair how they want. when they leave school, they should also be able to leave school behind and have fun. they don’t need to go crazy and post about all the partying their doing but they can have fun, go loiter in ice cream shops.

I don’t think teachers should be restricted by dress codes, obviously they shouldn’t come to school in a swimsuit or stuff like that, but the quality of teaching isn’t defined by clothes. In a world where women are the most common target for hate, there isn’t going to be a dress code that makes everyone happy. Even the article mentioned about how women needed to stay covered, but complained that they were dressing too unattractive to be an effective teacher.

I believe a teacher should be respectful and professional. Outside of these two distinct characteristics, I believe there is little to dictate. Things like teacher dress codes or a morality clause are archaic and have little to no tangible effect on a teachers abilities.

The standards for teachers will always change. As we saw with the ridiculous rules from the earlier times but even compared to now. Teachers at my high school could only wear jeans like once a month, but other than that, it had to be like a certain kind of dress pants which many of my teachers shared that it was uncomfortable and they just wanted to feel comfortable while teaching

Teachers should be judged based on efficiency and teachinf qualifications. Not whethere their personalities are easy to digest or are exactly what the ideal woman should be. Teachers should have leniency and freedom of expression, whether that be men or women.

a teachers ability to effectively teach does not depend on how the look or dress and it does not depend of what they do in there free time. Teaching is still a profession so teachers need to look clean and presentable, but they do not need to be super dressed up everyday. In a lot of special ed classrooms teachers are able to wear sweatpants if they want to, that does not mean that those teachers are automatically worse teachers.
