Therefore, my expectations are usually quite good. 

The steps I usually follow are: 
Understand the topic I have to write about and, once I have understood the topic, I start to look for complementary information and select that one that I am most interested in order to add it to my writing. 

Furthermore, I continue brainstorming about the organisation of my text: what I want to put in the introduction, how to develop it and the conclusions I draw. Finally, I always try to check for repeated words, change them for synonyms, make the text as formal as possible and try to use connectors to speed up the reading of the text.

In this sense, we need the writing to meet certain minimum standards in order to achieve our goal. 

In this case, for me it's so important that the text is coherent, expressing the intention of the topic adequately and that all the questions of the topics are covered. Besides, the text should be comprehensible, attention is paid to an appropriate register, formal presentation and good spelling. 

When you have covered these points, you can focus on connectors, good structure, creativity, etc. 

In summary, some of the facts to take into account in a cover letter would be:

-Margens
-Handwriting
-Connect your background and experience with examples
-Cover all the topic: personal skills (personality); professional skills (experience); qualifications, wide variety of expressions, and so on.

That's why today we did a 45-minute simulation of writing a cover letter. 

In general, I felt pretty good throughout. At the beginning I was surprised to have to start writing without help and with a time limit, but the truth is that I tried to do it the best way I could. The more time went by, the easier and quicker the ideas came to me. 
 
Besides, it is true that we have been working on writing skills for several days, and therefore, from the beginning I was clear about the needs I had to cover. Some of these are for example the formality of the text, accuracy, covering the whole topic, margins, etc. 

The instructions on the length and the material used for the cover letter have been clear from the beginning. In principle nothing was missing, but it is true that I missed some spelling or vocabulary. 
 
In addition, the models we had as a reference helped me a lot to have another perspective, and above all to pick up some expressions that I wanted to include in my text. 

Regarding some of the complications, the truth is that I had some problems with vocabulary and spelling. Perhaps consulting a dictionary would have made things a lot easier, although I must admit that it forced me to look up synonyms or remember vocabulary I had forgotten. I must also add that I lacked a bit of time to prepare my cover letter and, therefore, the presentation was not the best. The margins are very thin and the handwriting, although clear, could be better. 
 
And finally, I must admit that the activity surprised me at first, as it was not something I was expecting, but I liked it a lot because I think that this way students are prepared to develop many skills such as time management, handwriting, etc. It is a good activity to do once you have worked in the way we have done it: first we reflect on our writing skills, we analyse other texts to detect mistakes, etc.

I believe that the content included in the cover letter is quite adequate and covers all the needs that the topic requires. On the other hand, as far as organisation is concerned, it is worth mentioning that it has differentiated parts but perhaps it could have been organised in a better way. In grammar I have not added a very good mark because I consider that some details need to be improved, otherwise, as far as vocabulary is concerned, I think that it is correct and quite adequate. In this case each person took on two different roles: applicant and interviewer; in this way, we could put ourselves in both situations.

In my case, I had already practised in class and I took into account some mistakes I made in order to be able to express myself correctly on the day of the exam.

For all these reasons, and listening to the recordings of Friday's speeches, I consider my mark to be the following:

Content: (9) The speech was coherent at all times, a common thread was followed and each person took turns accurately.

Cohesion: (8) In this case, the mark corresponds to the fact that specific terms and expressions used in class are used but some expressions are missing in order to be excellent in this part.

Correction: (8) Some mistakes can be seen.

Fluency: (9) The job interviews are at all times a very fluent conversation without pauses and without exaggerated deviation from the topic.

Pronunciation: (9) There may be some mistakes in pronunciation, but in general, it is correct at all times.

Non verbal communication: (10) Different intonation is used so that speech is not linear and monotonous. At all times there is a connection with the interviewee/interviewer and a pleasant atmosphere is created with good pitch and eye contact. The British production developed by Charlie Brooker
called Black Mirror presents in one of its standalone episodes "Hang the DJ". In this mysterious episode, a system is presented that is capable of matching different people randomly. In this case, a blind date is set up in which it is later discovered how long the couple's relationship will last. 

In the episode, the main protagonists are Amy and Frank and they meet on a date that marks a before and after. Although their relationship is destined to be very short, both characters will share moments with other people but always keeping in mind the feelings they had when they met. All the events unfold in a very exciting way that keeps the viewer waiting for Amy and Frank to meet again and get back together, avoiding the system that brought them together in the first place.  

Black Mirror once again manages to make its viewers think again with this great episode, dealing with a number of current issues that everyone can relate to. So, to what extent is technology going to have an impact on our life decisions? There are several films that deal with this issue, such as Stéphane Robelin's film "Un profil pour deux" (Mr. Stein Goes Online), perhaps with the aim of making people aware that everything that is shown on social networks is not idyllic, and that love is not something that can simply be programmed.

This was the previous conception I had until I started to write Ximo Bayo's story with my classmates, and above all, after our teacher's revisions in class. 

With my experience I can say that it is very important to let the ideas flow but to establish a clear structure to give meaning to the text. This is something that commonly happens when writing, but what characterises a text like this is that you need to somehow attract the person who is reading it, create an interest in continuing the story, and above all, in our case, give it a funny essence.

Not only in writing, but also in speaking, even if you obviously don't follow a fixed structure, it is important to have strategies to give recommendations or to talk about something in particular in a proper way. 

For this reason, I found it quite interesting to work on the reviews, especially to do one on a chapter viewed in class, as we had the opportunity to work on some skills in the visualisation and then apply it in writing and making an evaluation/recommendation. 

Likewise, I have learned that it is necessary to have a brief introduction, a description of the contents or a summary of the plot, assessment of value, make certain comparisons to also give more substance to our discourse, and finally end with a conclusion. For all these reasons, I value this activity very positively and it is a great help for my learning.

With regard to the workload, it has always been in line with normality and, above all, there has been a lot of flexibility in terms of the regulation of delivery days, and this is a point in favour of the students as the correct learning and development of the activities is prioritised more than the delivery itself. 

With regard to the modules, I have learnt something different in each one. I didn't know about cover letters or their importance, I learnt new vocabulary necessary for my training. On the other hand, we were able to talk about our musical tastes and then make a phonological transcription of a song. Although this last task was not assessable, I think that all the students put as much effort into it as in the rest of the activities. 

In the end, the aim of education is for students to be curious about what they are learning and to enjoy it. I think that in this subject, apart from some days that were more complicated because the subject was denser, at all times there was a climate of collaboration and constant learning. It is true that all the students have been very committed, as has Abraham, and perhaps that is why the course has worked so well; but we should not take away the merit of the good approach behind it all. And likewise, the good use of the time available, as always when we entered the classroom, the papers were ready to do role plays, or the photocopies to work on. This also speaks volumes about the professionalism of a teacher. 

As an aspect of improvement, from my point of view, perhaps I would have dedicated a last space to make a reminder of everything studied and have made an interactive day sharing what we liked the most at all times, what we have learnt and if there are any doubts, to solve them. 

In any case, I really enjoyed it and for that alone it was worth it.
