I see the locator says they are from Bejing however I can't find them on social media which is interesting to me. Additionally the second article I chose because it is related to the first. This is because the first article mentions that North Korea has "defeated" Covid-19 yet the influx of medical supplies ordered by the country is very noticeable. The first article by bbc stated how regulated the news that travels through North Korea is in addition to the lengths people go to in order to get real news out to the world. The two US media outlets analyzed were Fox news (right) and ABC news (left). Right away one thing I noticed was the tone used in each article. Although the nature of each article is very different, Fox news used more of an aggressive urgent tone throughout the article whereas ABC was more informative. Both YouTube and Twitter have taken hold of this story in different ways, however. YouTube acting as a platform for other news outlets, mainly expressed stories about Un's daughter being the potential successor for himself. Twitter also took hold on the story of North Korea's most recent ICBM launch. After digging I realized that the newspaper for a town of 1000 people might be harder to find on an online platform than I first thought. Therefore, I turned to a larger newspaper provider for the general area called PennLive. This news resource had a particular focus on central Pennsylvania issues and sports as expected however it did expand to issues occurring throughout the United States such as the article shared about the Ohio manufacturing plant explosion. Moreover, I also looked at the local news resource for New London, CT since I have called this place home for the past 3.5 years. This news source also focused heavily on statewide news however, shared some major international stories in which America shares involvement.
