Fiorentina where he played in just 25 matches and scored only 6 goals. In Flamengo he played in 24 games and scored 7 goals. He transferred to Santos, played 23 matches and made 7 goals, at the end of his career he returned to Botafogo de Ribeirão Preto, played 7 times and scored 1 goal. In the Brazilian selection, he was captain of the famous selection of 82 and participated in 3 World Cups (78, 82 and 86). He played 69 games and scored 25 goals. He retired and became a technician, trained Botafogo from Ribeirao Preto, then trained at LDU and then at Cabofriense.
