What does the "movie genre" got to do with the topic "special relationships" & the theme?

The movie genre aims to introduce students to the genre options available for their narrative writing. I believe the students understand and they are familiar with movie genres. Hence, they can apply what they are familiar with in their narrative writing. For example, they are keen of mystery movies, hence, I can direct the plot discussion of the essay to be according to the chosen genre, mystery. 

As for the topic; special relationship, this regards to the content of their writing. As the example given in the textbook, it's about the relationship of a girl with her long lost pet cat. For the class activity (Constructing a Story), I can guide the students to a story line to be relationship-related like relations with family members.

The theme; health and environment is applied by using the suggested vocabulary listed in the textbook. Teacher should be the person to suggest the words during the brainstorming session.
