What role do twins play in the study of human growth?

The unique thing about looking into identical twins is that of course they have the same DNA , so therefore their responses to biological changes or the environments, could or can be alike because of the DNA make-up which makes them " one" but also if they are separated and live apart from each other , there " family" structures or the social trends can influence they way the choose or naturally react to the responses to effects around them.

1. Multicultural!
A lot of people including myself can or maybe in the future relate to being exposed or move or travel for long periods of times to other countries. For example, myself and my parents are from Mexico and till this very day sometimes the way my parents were raised back in Mexico, including schooling ,work ,religion , language, trends and time period all influenced them on the choice of moving to the USA and it also influences my opinions and thoughts at times when I am required to make a decision or when it comes to my " personal taste" in a current trend and in food, diets, songs, or clothing!
2. Multidirectional;
I believe that everyone will experience change at some point. I believe it is part of " life" . Like mentioned it can be mental, physical, or emotional but it all works together to have a balance and healthy system. Mental , I suppose I could related to this because in my early teens, I had some quiet traumatic events happen specifically to me , but in the long run effect my family and all of their emotions and views towards specific situations.
3. Gain & Loss
I think everyone can take this very different, depending on their own situation but primarily what they have started with. Myself personally, I have had to work very very hard for many years to become a resident of the USA & I did it with the help of my parents. For me , it has been a gain in my life, that has effected me in all . Emotionally, because at first I did not have documentation - I lived under the radar along with my parents but we had to make a living and provide and grow and try to live like normal humans! Extra long hours for my parents at work, physically worn them out from time and time . Mentally , they became tired but also fogged and worried about the what if's . For me , it determine my future, would I be able to attending school and further my education? what kind of jobs will I be able to work. Now , I got it. And it starts all over again, but its a new route.
