Advantages ....
1- slow development of railways
2-army
3 - vaccination
4 - engenring
5- social reformers
6 - the learning of the language like English ...

Disadvantages
Many people die due to the wars taken through British . And what theuly make tools and all they make all it for their own convenience and too live a comfortable life ....

There are some advantages and disadvantages of British rule in India. They were as follows:-

Advantages of British rule in India:-

1.Though the English Men Almost Destroyed the Traditional Culture and Treasures of India, It is to be admitted that They Did Contribute to Built a Modern India, too.
2. They Brought English Education.
3. They Introduced Modern Science
4. They Introduced Democratic Principles
5.They invented thousands of new professions
6. They introduced European Literature
7.Brought Knowledge of Modern Movements
8. They introduced Modern Administration
9. The British established Railways.

Disadvantages of British rule in India:-

Some disadvantages included loss of money due to wars with Britain which caused widespread poverty throughout India. Britain practically destroyed India's economy because they forced them to import goods from Britain and not buy goods from India. Because of colonization, India became dependent on Britain.

According to according to me it was because of this only that India could develop and grow economically.

1.) India had always been a peaceful nation. There would have nothing like wars. These unscrupulous policies of British led to world war 2 which has affected Indians very badly.

2.) There would be no discrimination on the basis of colour,caste, religion, language etc.
3.) Our country may have been the wealthiest one in the whole world.

•No I don't think so that it is because of the British rule that India could grow and develop economically because British did little for India in economic terms. Britain gained hugely from ruling India but most wealth created was not invested back into the country. Eg:- From 1860 to 1920, economic growth in India was very slow- much slower in Britain or America.

I believe that if the Britishers did not rule over India, India would have been a very prosperous country, because the British took away a lot of money from India.
Here are the facts :-
Before the Britishers came in 1840 India had 16% of the whole world's GDP.
When the Britishers arrived in 1870 India's world wide GDP had dipped to 12%.
By the time the Britishers left India in 1947 India's world wide GDP HAD DIPPED ALL THE WAY DOWN TO 4%.
This means that the Britishers took away 75% of India's wealth.

But I also think that without British rule India would not have been a technologically and educationally advanced country. As we are using technology and exams that they gave us back then, till date, such as The Railway system, UPSC EXAM.

the Indian economy developed but it hugely decreased in the 200 years that Britishers ruled over India Britishers brought a lot of development in India which includes railway tracks which are still used by Indian government. The Britishers used India as a trading ground and they even took away the spices that the Indian farmers grew as there was a huge demand in the foreign Nations.
They improvef India educationally a lot as they had taken the initiative of competitive exams like UPSC IAS etc inIIndia.
