         <description><![CDATA[<div><em>Link</em>: <a href="https://www.iorad.com/%20">https://www.iorad.com/ </a><br><br><em>Description</em>: Iorad is a video screencast recorder that allows hyperlinks, quizzes, voiceover, as well as re-organization of steps. <br><br><em>PBL</em>: Iorad can support PBL for students by allowing teachers to check for understanding at crucial milestones. <br> <br><em>Differentiation</em>: The ability to reorganize videos to target student specific needs allows for greater accessibility for students and allows teachers to modify existing videos without starting from scratch. <br><br><em>Engagement</em>: Adding interactive elements like links and quizzes supports student engagement. <br><br><em>Creativity</em>: Depending on the types of questions included in quizzes, students have options for how to solve problems in a unique way. <br><br><em>Categorization</em>: Synchronous &amp; Asynchronous. While this could be used synchronously, it would be best accomplished individually through breakout rooms or proving students an area to regroup for questions. In an asynchronous environment students can access materials at any time and interact with videos. <br>&nbsp; <br><em>PBL Unit idea:</em> Videos could be created by teachers to lead students in independent work and also provide checks for understanding with built in quizzes and links. <br><br><em>ISTE Connection</em>: 1.1.c Students use technology to seek feedback that informs and improves their practice and to demonstrate their learning in a variety of ways..</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><em>Link</em>: <a href="https://www.screencastify.com/">https://www.screencastify.com/<br></a><br><em>Description</em>: Screencastify is a screencasting tool that integrates with Chrome as an extension with an intuitive interface for editing and sharing videos. <br><br><em>PBL</em>: Screencastify could be used by teachers at the start of PBL to walk students through tools, concepts, or directions. Students could also use screencastify as a way of presenting at the end of PBL. <br><br><em>Differentiation</em>: Video walkthroughs and instructions allow students to view multiple times and pause as needed to follow along. <br><br><em>Engagement</em>: Video offers greater engagement so that students are not only reading, but also hearing and seeing information or creating their own presentation. <br><br><em>Creativity</em>: Built in editing allows for students to get creative with text, transitions between clips, zooming in and out of specific areas and more. <br><br><em>Categorization</em>: Synchronous &amp; Asynchronous. In synchronous or asynchronous learning environments, students will have the ability to access videos and review information as needed or use video creation tools to present. <br><br><em>PBL Unit idea</em>: Screencastify has the potential for students to document learning through PBL and use videos to create digital portfolios. <br><br><em>ISTE Connection</em>: 1.3.c Students curate information from digital resources using a variety of tools and methods to create collections of artifacts that demonstrate meaningful connections or conclusions.</div>]]></description>
