To carry out this project, we went to both John Lewis and Selfridges and analysed all the different features from Visual Merchandising, Marketing Methods, Staff and Opportunities. It was exciting to see both stores and how they operate it was also nice to take part in different opportunities within the store like the Fenty Beauty Hair Care Pop-up Shop and we also received a free sample of it to use which made our shopping experience enjoyable. We also spoke to both store staff members, asked what it was like working, and gained closer information from them.

Our Gamification concept idea is using the popular makeup and cosmetics brand Fenty Beauty. We decided to create a game for the brand where customers can give a cartoon character a makeover using only Fenty Beauty products and cosmetics following a specific theme. Other players can then vote for your makeup look and the more coins you earn by getting high scores, the more prizes and achievements you can unlock. It starts with being able to unlock more products to use on more makeup looks up to receiving free products and getting early access to new drops.

This will benefit the company as it exposes new and existing customers to products that they might not have seen or purchased. They will also be able to explore different shades and colour tones of specific products and purchase them. if they choose to purchase any items with the discounts they have received the app will also have a shop product page where they can buy all the items used in the game, this will increase customers and purchases for Fenty Beauty.
